Celebrated theatre-maker, writer and visual artist Danarto was a fixture of Indonesia's vanguard art scene through the Cold War. For the 17th Istanbul Biennial, an interdisciplinary team of artists and researchers, 'Danarto & Friends', come together to explore his legacy through a mixture of performance, conversation, and creative archiving.
