Discovering God’s Trail Markers for Inner Healing and Wholeness
We honor Jesus as the guide through the wilderness who enters into our brokenness and shares his wholeness with us. We honor each other as fellow travelers with valuable experience to share. We honor you the listeners. Your journey is just as significant as our own. Thank you for joining us and listening to our conversation.
Who knows you, truly knows you? How do they get to know you? If no one can know everything about you can they at least see a very real piece of you? Is there healing in being known? Get to know us as we share our thoughts on this important part of the Inner Journey.
What tools do you use on the Inner Journey to help yourself and others? The tools of our past don't fit in this new way of life. Is story the most important tool you have? In the recovery process it helps us face denial and the reality that we truly live in by helping us identify and relate with others. We get the chance to join their journey when you know more about their story. You get to own more of your own testimony when you can tell the story of your life and how Jesus has walked with you through life.
Welcome to the edited version... Sorry for our mess earlier.
It's not enough to just deal with habits, we have to dig deeper into the WHY. Therapy or small group sharing are all trying to get us to the root causes of our current situation and issues. This is the hardest part of recovery but it is also the most rewarding and life changing.
Let's Deep Dive into the WHY. Don't be afraid of your past even though that's where most of the pain lives because that's also where most of the answers live as well. In the context of healthy community and with professional help you can return to the places of your wounding and start to heal so that you can walk forward into a bright new future. Thank you for joining us as we take inventory of our lives and what it looks like for others to find themselves as well.
Finding the true self that God created you to be. That true self doesn't need to be created, it needs to be recovered. Join us for our discussion on the life-long Christian process of Recovery.
Poverty. Not something you hear about often in church, even though Jesus talks about this quite often. Instead of the American Dream let's all lose our lives to Find Them in our Race to the Bottom.
How comfortable are you with brokenness in your own life and the lives of others? Is it something that you have experienced? Dreaded? Embraced? We have a discussion on Brokenness and what it has meant to our Christian journeys.
Seeing beyond Denial is one of the healthiest things we can do for our journeys. The only problem is that its always hard and we need trusted friends to help us navigate our way. Please join us for this discussion of how to overcome denial and to grow past our blind spots.
Please enjoy our special episode with Peter Scalzo. Writer of Cancer and Peace his account of his 17 year (and counting) cancer journey. I think we let Peter talk and everyone in the room just felt like we were in sacred space just listening to him share some of his wisdom and encouragement.
What is the inner drive that keeps us going through recovery and any tough new reality we face? Hope. Hope that there is more. More healthy relationships and unknown blessings and growth that God can bring into our lives. You can become someone who understands there is a meaning and purpose that can rise again from your pain. Please join us for this discussion on losing hope, being hopeless, and regaining new hope.
In this episode John, Sean, and Andrew discuss a concept known as "The Wall" or "The Dark Night of the Soul". This is something written about in Christian theology that might seem counter to what we might see in Christianity today in America. Basically that God can use and even bring hard times into our lives that push us past a place of comfort and stagnation and into a new found beautiful peace. We hope you enjoy this discussion and learn a couple new perspectives on hard times and how God uses them.
Listen to the first ever episode of the Exploring the Inner Journey podcast. This podcast is a Christian podcast with a discussion of 3 friends about some of the trail markers that have led to a deeper relationship with God along the journey of life. This first episode covers a topic that we believe is foundational to discuss and that is Narrative. The fact that we all have Narratives and how we understand this life and the world around us. Being aware of Narratives allows us to re-evaluate our viewpoints and opens us to greater understanding. We hope that you enjoy hearing this podcast as much as we enjoyed making it. Please let us know what you think!
