The side of a grave. There is perhaps no place on earth where our faith matters more. Christian pastors approach the grave to give comfort to the grieving and to speak to the meaning of life of the deceased. For centurues, these words have included this: "I heard a voice from heaven saying, 'Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!'" (Revelation 14:13)

We can be caught in the tensions between life and death, faith and doubt, work and rest. The Bible speaks to us in these tensions of life.
