Today, entrepreneur and Co-Founder and General Manager of Banded Peak Brewing Matt Berard joins the show to discuss his life and career in the Calgary community. Matt’s colorful path has included pursuits in hockey, law, journalism, bioengineering, and, now, brewing. Having built Banded Peak along with his friends, he and his team’s tireless work at Banded Peak Brewing hit a major milestone in 2020 when the company was acquired by Labatt. As much as this hugely successful experience has taught him, the ups and downs in Matt’s personal life have provided him with many more lessons about entrepreneurship, relationships, and what’s really important. Join us as Matt shares his wisdom and insight into working with friends in the world of Canadian brewing.
