Today, Property Manager and passionate community builder Alice Lam joins the show. In the past five years, she has started several not-for-profit organizations, including Vollyapp.com, the Calgary Community Fridge, and Good Neighbour Market, which raised nearly $90,000 and redistributed over 200,000 pieces of clothing and food to the community. This is all part of Alice’s lifelong project to let everybody know that Calgary is the most overlooked city in the world. Join us as Alice explains how a child of Chinese immigrants grew to become such an important and passionate part of the Calgarian community that she loves, as well as the ins and outs of the city’s not-for-profit system.
