Today, storyteller, law professional, yoga teacher, leader in the Canadian not-for-profit sector, and CEO of the Calgary Centre for Global Community & Humainologie, Salima Stanley-Bhanji, joins the show to discuss her hugely varied career full of initiatives to improve the lives of her fellow Canadians. As a believer in the power of storytelling to heal and empower, Salima has directed 30 short films for Humainologie, and she has provided editorial assistance to developing and published authors and is a speaker coach for TedxYYC. Her work has earned her a Calgary Influential Women in Business Award in 2021, and the distinction of being named by the Calgary Herald on their annual list of ‘Compelling Calgarians’ in 2022.
