There’s a unique kind of pain that comes from wanting something you’re not sure you’re allowed to have. Kyle Greenfield calls this the quiet “I can’t.” In this episode, he explores how hidden doubts turn meaningful goals into emotional weight, how avoidance masquerades as busyness, and how reconnecting with trust can restore momentum, clarity, and joy.

Kyle calls this the stuck spiral, one of the most subtle forms of unconscious unhappiness. In this episode, you’ll discover how this spiral forms, the two most common ways it shows up, and how stepping back—rather than pushing forward—can change everything.
The holidays often bring joy — and stress. In this episode, I share three practical principles for staying present, letting go of expectations, and remembering what truly matters when spending time with family. Then, I also share a short practice to help you embody peace during the holiday season.

If you ever feel like something’s off — but you can't quite put your finger on it, this is for you. In today’s episode we dive into the phenomenon of Unconscious Unhappiness.
It's something we all go through at times: when everything is fine — but you still feel a subtle emptiness, a softness of lack of fulfillment.
I explain
You’ll leave with simple, yet powerful perspective-shifts that make room for everyday joy — not as a distant goal, but as part of your normal inner rhythm.
Tune in, let yourself feel what’s really beneath the surface, and discover how to turn unconscious unhappiness into conscious a deliberate joy.
When we align our actions with our deeper purpose, even hard work feels effortless. Building on last week’s episode about setting clear intentions, today I share a 3-part framework for taking action that flows — not forces.
Discover how to act from purpose instead of pressure, focus on the unfolding rather than the outcome, and express your authentic self through every step you take.
It’s a simple shift that turns striving into flow — and makes progress feel joyful, natural, and deeply fulfilling.
Many of our goals sound good but feel wrong. In this episode, we look at how to spot when your ambitions are being driven by fear or ego — and how to re-center on the feeling you actually want.
You’ll discover a framework to transform pressure-filled striving into purpose-driven flow, where action becomes effortless.
If you're a driven, goal-oriented person, it's easy to forget there is more power in being present in each action than focusing on what hasn’t happened yet, or what still needs to be done.
I am as guilty of this as anyone. It is easy to set a goal and then think about everything that must happen to get there. We like to think linearly, logically, and the mind likes to think it knows how to achieve the things we say we want.
The problem is: when we do that we focus on lack, on not yet being, doing, or having the thing we want. So if you’re stuck in that lack-focused cycle, which feels like: “I have so much work to do”, “I just can’t get past this.” —> Today’s episode is for you.
As we step into September, it's the perfect time of year to reset and reinvigorate the goals you've set. Especially if you've been feeling behind, or less excited about your goals for the year, it's important to reignite the excitement you have for them.
Today's podcast walks you through a mental framework and clear practice to help you reignite your dreams, by building inner momentum towards them.
Today I want to talk about a lesson I have had to re-learn many times in my life, and it's something I think we have to keep coming back to, keep reminding ourselves of:
How can I just be here now? How can I be fully present in this moment, even as the world rushes around me?
We all beat ourselves up at times, and that's okay. What matters is that we have the ability to interrupt those negative thoughts, step back, and reframe the way we think.
In today's episode, I share a simple process I use to stop spiraling and activate a more positive belief within myself.

The Thought-Belief-Emotional Triangle is a mental framework I use that helps me to visualize the interplay among my thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, and to see the impact they have on the actions I take, and the results I get.
This framework is fundamental to everything that we do. It’s always there, working in the background, either helping to propel us towards the change we want, or to keep us feeling trapped in the same cycles. It is a really powerful tool to help us understand what's going on inside of our minds, and how we can use these 3 levers to create the change we seek.

In today's episode, I share what I see as the 4 essential practices that drive inner growth. When we focus on improving these 4 skills. growth occurs. They spark a positive spiral, where we level-up, hit our goals, then set new goals and level-up again. In other words: this is how we grow.

Anytime we have a meaningful goal there’s always a risk that we will become overwhelmed by it. I think that’s normal. We want to set goals that challenge us and stretch us, we want to push ourselves right up to that line of what we’re capable of, but, somehow, not cross over that line. So today I want to talk about some of the strategies I use to manage that balance, so I don’t get overwhelmed by my work. And these are a mix of some really simple, tactical strategies, along with a few beliefs and mindset shifts I’ve learned to create over the years.

In today's episode, I talk about the power of sticking with decisions by catching and avoiding indecision. This means: if a decision isn't obvious, the answer is NO!
There are a few key principles behind this:
I hope you enjoy!
If you've been in a slump, avoiding "that thing," or feeling like you just can't motivate yourself into action, today's episode is for you.
In it, we talk about the hidden beliefs that often underpin our tendency to procrastinate, along with 3 core strategies you can use to help you take action.
If you got thrown off last month or it feels like this year is flying by, this is for you.
In today's epsiode, I talk about how we can pay attention to our response when we get thrown off track, reset our expectations for where we should be, and move forward from where we are (without feeling stressed or "behind").
Hesitation is the 4th of the 7 Hidden Faces of Fear. It comes in the form of the many, momentary gaps between inspiration and action, little hiccups that cause us to question ourselves and keep us from taking action on our goals.
Doubt is one of the most sinister masks that fear can wear. It slips into us from so many places we often don't even realize when it's present. It stops us from going after the things we really want, and keeps us stuck, exactly where we are.
Today, we continue our deep dive into The 7 Hidden Faces of Fear, and look at how uncertainty can be a manifestation of the fears we hold.
Do you ever feel like something is eating away at you, but you can’t quite put your finger on what it is?
If so, there’s a good chance it might be fear. Fear likes to hide from us in all sorts of ways, and today, we’re going to uncover the 7 most common, hidden faces of fear. T

It's mid-December, which means if you haven't started to think about your goals for next year, it's time to get on it.
But, in order to be successful with our goals, we have to clarify and trust in the goals that are right for us - NOT the goals we "think" we "should" have. In today's episode, I share how we often fail in our goals because we don't clarify the right aims, we don't trust in them, and we don't account for the inner blocks that will arise along the way.
If you've ever felt like you've struggled to reach your goals, or if you've felt there's something missing in your standard goal-setting process, this episode is for you.
On today's episode, I fess up to a recent challenge I've been having and how, by allowing my point of focus to slip, I've created a more negative experience for myself. Then, I outline the framework and strategies I use to make a shift, so we can apply our focus to feel happier and more peaceful, even when faced with a negative situation.

Today I want to share a frame - a way of thinking - believe is absolutely crucial right now. We have never been more divided, and as the holidays approach I know being with family can bring up a lot of opposing beliefs.
This episode will help you to increase your compassion and understanding for those who might be on the other side of the table this year...especially when you disagree with everything they might believe.
No one deserves to suffer from stress. Last time I shared the belief that helps me to stay centered and calm no matter what life throws at me, but developing a new belief can take time.
If we want to beat stress, we also need real-world strategies that work immediately.
So, today I want to give you a more practical plan - a 30 day roadmap - you can start using immediately to step back from stress and begin to feel like yourself again.
I don't know about you, but I've had a crazy couple of weeks, but despite everything that's going on, I don't actually feel stressed.
In today's episode, I share how ONE belief has completely changed my relationship with stress, allowing me to stay calm, centered, and focused, even when life gets a bit hectic.
The Law of Control tells us that we tend to feel happy and empowered to the degree to which we feel we are in control of a situation.
This means the game of empowerment becomes: how do we stay in control, even when life doesn't go according to plan, or chaos appears everywhere around us?
In today's episode, I share the 7 key principles that have helped me to understand and apply this. Through them, I've found that the more I can remain centered where my true point of control really is, the better off I am.
I think one of the biggest problems we all face is something I call Unconscious Unhappiness.
It's the fact that most of the time we don't even know whether or not are thoughts are negative. We just let them slip by - hiding just beneath our conscious awareness. These thoughts cause us to feel down, or upset, but so long as we aren't aware of them, we can't take action to change.
In today's episode I discuss what these 5 main types of thought are, and what we can do about it.
There is a secret to outrageous joy. If you can master just this one skill, you will be able to look beyond your thoughts and experience the inner peace and well-being you deserve.
Today I want to share a simple practice I use to cultivate a deep sense of inner peace and well-being, and to be able to bring that sense of peace forward with me into each day.
And I say that quite deliberately, because when I was earlier on in my journey, for years, I would often take time to relax, to meditate, and I'd feel peaceful.
But it wasn't until I started this simple practice that my peace would stick with me as I went about my day.
One of the challenges I've faced on my journey is knowing I "should" be present...but beating myself up whenever I'm not. Today, I share the mental reframe that solved this problem for me.
It's about thinking of "being present" not as an end goal, but as a dance within ourselves. Rather than feeling self-critical whenever we're out of alignment, we can see not being present as an essential part of the dance. It is an opportunity to become present once more.
Have you ever felt excited about something in one moment, only to find that feeling of elation soon crashes down into feeling stressed and overwhelmed?
In today's episode, we dive into the fine line between excitement and overwhelm. We'll cover how you can become aware of what this line is, how it feels for you, and then use a few simple strategies to manage it for yourself - so you can stay excited and in the zone, without risking burning out.
Today, I want to encourage you to be really vulnerable with yourself. Confront your biggest point of shame, what you think of as your greatest weakness - and then begin to see that "weakness" as your greatest strength, the very seed that empowers you to become a better version of yourself.
In today's episode I talk about the remarkable power of praise and how we can use it to lay the foundation for unlimited happiness and success, in pretty much every area of our lives.
This is something I believe is incredibly important and yet it’s something we so often neglect - and I actually think we often get it backwards. We'll explore how we can flip our mindset about praise, so we can make praise unconditional, and experience a dramatic boost to our mood when we do.
Let's face it: some moments are worth more than others.
If we know this, we can use those high-leverage moments to activate a deeper sense of peace within us, and make it much, much easier to come back to that peace throughout the day.
In today's episode, I share how you can use the first few moments of your day to virtually guarantee you'll have a good day, no matter what.
There's a problem with positive thinking.
It's one of the most powerful tools we have to raise our energy and shift into a better mood...but most of the time, we don't use it correctly.
When we try to think positively, but stay feeling down or upset, positive thinking actually works against us. In today's episode, I talk about how to make this practice work for you by focusing on the little shifts that will lead you into a better mood, quickly and easily.
In today's episode I share a simple trick I use to help me identify and reframe negative thought habits.
It's called inversion thinking, and it's a really great process for instantly flipping the frame of reference you use. Today's episode is 2 parts in 1. First we'll apply inversion thinking to identify bad thought habits. Then we'll use it to flip our thoughts into a better-state.
These were two of the most popular episodes when they first aired in 2022, and this skill is just as relevant today. I hope you enjoy!
When was the last time you stopped to acknowledge your fears? In today's episode, we look at how our negative emotions point to some of our deepest fears, and a simple process you can use to move beyond that fear, so you can live a life of peace, joy, and well-being.
In today's episode, we talk about how we can use a simple framework to feel more at peace, even if you're feeling trapped in negative thoughts or regretting past actions.
We talk about how a lack of peace isn't caused by a past situation, but by reliving thoughts about that situation, the importance of accepting you won't always feel peaceful, and how you can learn to become peace, until peace becomes your only reality.
In today's episode, I share how following my resonance - paying attention to my inner energy - has reshaped the way I live my life, and allowed me to create flow by drawing a clear connection between the events I experience and the way I feel.
In today's episode, we talk about a really easy strategy you can use to raise your energy - and actually choose deliberately the mood you want to be in. In order to use this strategy, you only have to know one simple fact, which is that our mood is a reflection of whatever thoughts we are repeating to ourselves in that moment, and the longer we repeat a thought, the more we begin to take on the energy and the feeling of that thought.
In today's episode, we talk about how you can follow a simple path to an entirely new level of consciousness, just by creating mini-moments of space throughout the day. I call it: Enlightened Awareness, and it's available to each and every one of us, anytime we choose.
In today's episode, I share the single, most important principle that has enabled me to virtually eliminate stress from my life.
By focusing on this one idea and combining it with a few simple strategies, you can put a stop to stress before it spirals into a major problem in your life.
Whenever you go after a big goal, it's normal to get a bit stuck staring at the absence of it. But, what if there were a simple shift that could flip your perspective?
What if you could see the "not-having" of your goal as part of the goal itself? That's the shift I use to stay excited and motivated, even when reaching my goal feels distant or out of reach.
In today's episode, we talk about how to use zero-based thinking to let go of some of the old energy you might be carrying with you. This is perfect if you want to move from an old version of yourself - old beliefs, old identities, or old knowledge - that is no longer serving you, and make the space you need to grow into that next version of yourself.
We have a tendency to believe that the thoughts we think are valid. We believe they are relevant and important. But, do we actually know if that's true? In today's episode, we unpack some of our unconscious assumptions about the way we think, and how these assumptions are causing us unnecessary pain, stress, and struggle.
A can-do attitude is possibly the most cliché personal development idea ever, but - when you look closely - there's a hidden magic within it most of us never allow ourselves to realize.
It's the time of year when we all take time to pause and reflect on our goals for the year ahead. In today's episode I share a simple concept I use to set spiritual and personal development goals, and, specifically, I want to focus on goals that are non-physical: goals that are hard to define and track... and it all comes down to just 1 question you can ask yourself.
If you've been following The Joy Within for a while, you've probably heard me talk about resonance - your natural, inner energy. But, you might not be clear on what, exactly, this resonance is - or, frankly - why you should care about it. So, today I want to talk about why resonance matters. I'll give a brief introduction to it, and then we'll go deep into why it is so fundamentally important, because I think being able to tune-in to this feeling is the single, most important skill you can develop.
In today's episode, we're asking a simple, but important question: What impact do you really want to have? If you didn't talk yourself out of it, what goal would you really set? And, we'll talk about how - if you're not careful - the little voice in your head will keep you from ever reaching that goal.
Every thought we think impacts our relationships with others, from our closest partners to passing strangers. In today's episode, we talk about the invisible force that is attracting or repelling everyone around you...all based on the quality of your thoughts and your mood.
We don't usually place a value on negativity, but what if I told you your thoughts were actually costing you millions of dollars?
In today's episode, I dive into 3 ways you can think about the financial cost of unconscious thought habits, and why you should shift from scarcity to abundance, ASAP.
On one level, the emotional cost of negativity is obvious. Our thoughts drive our emotions, so when we think negative thoughts, we feel bad.
But, there's actually a much stronger emotional cost than we realize, because whenever we have negative thoughts, we end up pitting one half of ourselves against the other.
Except in extreme cases, we don't blame our health on our thoughts. We look to the world around us. We might blame our diet, our environment, our job, or even our genetics - but rarely do we blame our consistent thoughts. In today's episode, I'll show you how to clarify that connection and identify the toll on your health.
The cost of negative thinking is higher than you think. Over the next five episodes, we'll explore the 5 main costs of negativity that most people never consider, including physical, emotional, financial, relationship, and impact costs.
By looking through this lens, we can become crystal clear about the role our thoughts play, and build the motivation to step back and do something about it.
In today's episode, we talk about why sadness isn't always a bad thing, and how accepting where you are and the role negativity plays for you can actually be a huge relief, moving you closer towards the joy you really want.
One of the biggest mistakes I see with students revolves around not knowing the right next step to take. In this episode, I'll share the easiest way to solve that problem, so you can stay motivated, inspired, and heading in the right direction, so you start seeing results quickly and easily.
Thought stacking is a powerful way to make it much, much easier for you to think positive and productive thoughts. If you prioritize this, you won't have to try to be more positive Positive thoughts will just come to you naturally, effortlessly, as you go about your day.
We tend to see effort as something fixed, something outside of ourselves. In today's episode, we'll see how effortlessness can be a quality we choose. It's not about the task; it's about the mindset.
What happens when you know you should meditate, but you just don't want to? Many new meditation students struggle to make their meditation practice a consistent habit. In today's episode, we'll talk about what to do when meditation feels like a chore, and how to break it down so you give yourself the best chance for building the habit you know is right for you.
In today's episode, I'll share an idea that - to me - forms the foundation of forgiveness. This framework helps me to accept and understand the actions of others, even when I don't agree with those actions. I think it helps both with forgiving the "little things" as well as the big ones in life, and we can use it to forgive others, or turn inwards and forgive ourselves.
Feeling stuck? Whether you're trying to breakthrough to a new state of mind or reach your next goal, we tend to think the future will be more or less like the present. In today's episode, I dive into how to stop focusing on "what is" in order to start making real progress.
Ever feel like you've taken on more than you can handle? Feeling overwhelmed is like standing on a knife's edge, it can kick you into high gear, or send you spiraling into stress. In this episode, we'll look at how a small shift in your mindset can help.
