This is a poem I wrote to help raise awareness about tinnitus it affects almost 40 - 79 million people - 15 - 20% of the US population. It is unrelenting, debilitating, there is NO CURE. It is unrelenting it's greatest impact on those suffering is their mental health - including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and dementia, and can trigger episodes of extreme anger and suicidal ideation. Anhedonia and suicide. We can make a difference, share this podcast, let's get the word out there and make some noise so we can get funding spur research and find a cure.
