It's okay if you do not want to get a mental medical diagnosis. There are a lot of reasons why. For starters, the labels are confusing.

You might be thinking, "So what if I don't get diagnosed? Does that mean will never be happy? Am I going to go crazy when everyone finds out?"

Well, not necessarily.

In this episode, we'll talk about how people with mental diagnoses have a lot in common with each other. They tend to share certain traits and behaviors—but they may not have all of them. And then there's the whole stigma thing—the idea that you're mentally ill because you have a label on your forehead (or wherever else).

All this being said: if you aren't sure whether or not you should get a mental medical diagnosis from your psychiatrist, just ask them! If they say yes, then maybe it's not for you—but if they say no? Maybe it is!
