I want to preface this by saying that I really do love my mom, and I am very glad and blessed that she is not one of those parents that dispose you once you turn 18 but whew... being the eldest daughter of an immigrant parent is not for the week. Enjoy me and my strong valley girl/cali accent come through, and my little "but yeah" and "so anyways" transitions as I get excited to move to Michigan for grad school and vent a little about the troubles of living with your parents as a grown adult.
