William Fleeson is a writer and journalist based in his native beloved Washington, DC. 

His work has appeared in BBC Travel, Narrative, National Geographic, Newsweek, and some really obscure journals. In longform nonfiction he was a finalist for the New Millennium Writing Award in 2020 and again in 2021. He speaks good French and bad Russian, and used to play drums in Nashville.
