This week’s episode is short and to the point. If you struggle with following through and procrastination, then this one is for you!
We all struggle at times to show up for ourselves or keep up with the habits we know benefit us. Even I slack off on things sometimes, even after all the work I’ve done on self discipline. I’m not fully sure what causes us to avoid doing the things we know are good for us, but I do know that this tip is a simple way to wake your mind up from the “I’ll do it tomorrow” fog.
When I am struggle to turn off the TV and go to the gym, get out of bed and wash my face, or—sometimes—even edit these podcast episodes, I will say to myself “I never regret ___.”
Obviously, you fill in the blank with whatever it is you’re struggling to get done. This will usually remind me how much I enjoy these activities and how much they actually benefit me. I hope that these tips help you as we all enter that end of year slump. You don’t have to wait for the new year to begin implementing healthy habits!
