Matthew introduces a forgotten and terrifying tale that happened in Oakland in 1874 and how it helped to the founding of Pacific Press and an Adventist presence there. Along the way, we will meet Dudley Canright, Meritt Cornell, and James and Ellen White as they seek to proclaim the Adventist message about death and the human soul.
