Shaun Thomas served in the Scotland, Edinburgh Mission from October of 2002 through October of 2004. Shaun shares his incredible journey, including nearly getting stuck on a remote island in Orkney, serving in the mission home and preparing a farm breakfast that Sister Vriens loved, and having some NED girls offer him and his companion to "have your babies". Shaun loved his companions who learned a great deal about South Africa having served with him. His companions loved that he wasn't another American missionary and his experience learning the Scottish accent or adopting his own American accent.

Shaun currently lives in Johannesburg, South Africa, with his wife and their 3 daughters. (4 total children for Shaun)
