Part 2 of 2. Shane Brodie speaks with a teacher in Maryland who identifies as being nonbinary in terms of their gender. We talk about this area of the country near Washington DC, the laws on the different sides of the Potomac River, their process of coming out, pronouns, healthcare, how their students reacted to the changes, and their family (including other LGBT family members).
We filmed this interview on their covered porch, so there is some ambient noise, and a little dog barking.
Other Conversations is an oral history and independent media project by Shane Brodie, a trans man and multi-issue activist. He is traveling around the US interviewing transgender and nonbinary people who are independent, conservative, egalitarian, free speech and gun rights enthusiasts, rural, religious, voluntaryist, anarchist, mutualist, apolitical, skeptical, constitutionalist, classic liberal, libertarian, objectivist, small political party members, or have a mixture of right/left views etc.
Please contact Shane if you are interested in having a thoughtful conversation about your political beliefs and affiliations. He can also be found on several podcasting platforms as well as Twitter and Facebook. Thanks!
