What does Jesus see when He inspects the leaves of our lives, our families and our churches?

Does He find belief and faithfulness?

Is it found in our homes, in our relationships with others and in our businesses?

Does He find us living out our lives characterized by the things we do because we trust Christ or is He going to find the empty leaves of self-love and self-absorption?

Jesus pronounced a curse on the fig tree in Mark 11 but it was merely an illustration of the judgment to come to Israel. And it stands as a stark example to us that we can just as easily fall into the same trap as Israel, as the church.

I pray that He finds fruit amongst the leaves!
