How we do one thing is how we do everything.

You may have heard a variation of this quote at some point, perhaps from a seminar, motivational talk or book.

It means that the way you approach or handle some situations or experiences in your life is a good indicator of how you handle all aspects of your life.

This week, on Episode #48 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we are going to apply this sentiment to our decluttering practices.

If you have been decluttering along with us this month, you are sure to have noticed a shift in your mood, feelings and maybe even your day-to-day life.

That’s because decluttering and cleaning on the outside absolutely affects us on the inside! (And vice versa.)

  • Decluttering the kitchen, pantry and fridge can lead to easier food prep - and perhaps better food choices
  • Decluttering the front entrance may lead to getting out of the door on time or a feeling of peace upon returning home at the end of a long day
  • Decluttering the bedroom may lead to a more relaxed, sound sleep
  • Decluttering the mind through journalling or meditation may lead to better decisions around your wellness, bringing about a little more joy

With practice and being present in the moment, you can start to notice all the little positive effects in your life.
