On Episode 44 of Pops and Socks we are meeting remotely AGAIN while Shaka is on paternity leave with the arrival of his son. On this weeks episode we dip into the past to get a good laugh about some of our football experiences. Quickly transitioning we dive into a interesting subject of love. Being a man its sometimes hard or uncomfortable even when talking about love. Everyone was raised in different homes and environments listen how Shaka and Bakari both grew up in a home where the phrase "I love you" was not often verbally expressed. If you grew up the same way saying "I love you" can be awkward. Or did you grow up on the opposite end your family always made you feel valued and loved? We all know that love can mean different things to people but definition of love come with terms and conditions. Listen also these things might affect how you hear the voice of God.

We understand that we all need a safe space but we feel that for men there are not many places he can go to be vulnerable. Our conversation ties directly on how to traverse through being truly vulnerable with spouse, family, or friends. This weeks topics goes deep into a mind of a man who maybe even feel he is trapped in his own mind. Also what are the fears, concerns, or worries when being open and vulnerable isn't received.
This latest episode we talk about your calling vs your career. Why is it that people are willing to maybe ignore their true calling of what God created them for?. And are willing to stay at a job/career/relationship that might not be as fulfilling? Maybe the way you were raised determined what you prioritized. In this episode we also try to tackle the big question of how long should I stay vs. when is it time for a person to leave a situation, job, career, or even relationship. And even when going through trails what is purpose your pain and frustration.
In today's episode we will be discussing the culture of arranged marriages and the social experiment married at first sight. Does it take away from the value or that thought of "what if". We answer questions like: What weight do things like attractiveness, income, and likeability hold? Does the choice make it last longer than obligation would? Is divorce an option? If so when would that be something to contemplate? Your wife is your helper not your mother!? Listen as we discuss all of these things and what works for them or even you.
