Three Mile an Hour God

Today at the table, we get to talk about rest in the transition, while also delving into slowing down enough to see people and actually stop for them.

I heard a spoken word once that talked about the "Pace of Jesus". A Japanese theologian expanded on this and studied what the potential pace of Jesus was and he found that it must have been around three miles an hour. He called this "the speed of love".

I just love this imagery and this is something we talk about today around the table.

Come join me and take time to rest, be, and walk more slowly and intentionally enough to stop for people and make eye contact.
