This week's guest is Alexander Hentschel, the co-founder & Chief Protocol Architect of Flow blockchain. Flow powers popular games and NFT projects like CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot. It was designed by Dapper Labs for high performance or "throughput".

In this episode, I chat with Alex about the creation of the Flow blockchain, how it achieves high performance, and why we even care about scaling blockchains in the first place. We also talk about the role of a protocol architect and what sets apart great engineers and researchers.

Some parts of this episode are technical, so I've included a few supplementary resources below. Please enjoy the conversation!
