To return to the face to face relationship with Christ as Christ intended as in the garden of Eden, one must fast, pray, meditate & spend time in the Bible on a regular basis (without being told free-will).(many pastors have been to seminary & NEVER heard the voice of God. what they learned they teach, & have no clue if God supports it)
