On August 13 1955, a Black WW1 war veteran named Lamar Smith was murdered on the steps of the Brookhaven MS courthouse in front of many witnesses as he tried to register Black people to vote. No one was ever brought to justice. Joining us to discuss is Roy L Smith, a nephew of Lamar Smith.
