Procrastination is a common problem, it affects many people and its possible to overcome it with a few simple strategies.
One of the keys is to alter your own mood in a positive way, either do something you enjoy to get you moving or get up and start moving.
Where people get stuck with procrastination is in waiting to feel inspired and what I like to call the ship of excuses. The ship can sail in with thoughts like; maybe ill just do it tomorrow, there’s not enough time now.
Sometimes literally just starting even if you feel you don’t want to or are not sure where to start is enough to break the procrastination cycle.
Limiting social media and phone usage can be a great way to minimise distractions. Use these as a reward for getting things done.
And positive self-talk plus rewarding your progress will motivate you to stay on track.
