Burnout is a form of exhaustion and is caused by constantly feeling swamped.
It's a result of excessive and prolonged emotional, physical and mental stress.
In many cases it's related to a job.
Burnout tends to start when we have a lot of energy or passion for something were doing like a new job or business. Everything feels exciting and great so small stressors or issues that need confronting can be ignored.
When the onset of stress begins it can look like disconnection from people around you, you might start arguing with your partner or friends.
You’ll begin procrastinating more than ever, putting off even the smallest of tasks because it feels overwhelming.
Self care can go out the window. Things like exercise, diet and sleep.
And there can be physical and emotional exhaustion - you may feel tired but wired and can’t sleep at night.
If you’re experiencing any of this come back to basics and start with regular walking and rest .
