What's your story? Everyone has one, everyone's is different.

Stories are what draw us in to other people and make us want to learn more. If everyone's story was the same, how boring would life be?

I was a professional athlete for 10 years and up to this point it has been the absolute best decade of my life... although the current one is shaping up to be a really good one full of growth and transformation.

Being a major league baseball player was all I ever wanted to be, it was my dream from the moment I stepped on a field. Unfortunately, I didn't fulfill all the visions I had for myself. Because of that, when my career came to an end, I felt empty, with no sense of identity or purpose. I never knew who I was without baseball so when that part of me was gone, I was scared and didn't know what to do.

This fear is not something most men will admit to, from a very young age we are taught to "man up" and that men don't talk about their feelings and emotions. These fears, insecurities, failures and thoughts of not being good enough have held me back from so many things because I thought to myself "if I can't succeed at something I was good at and loved so much, how will I succeed at anything else?"

Two years ago I had a deep talk with a dear friend and decided right then and there that I was going to make some changes. I began a journey of self-reflection and figuring out who I really am without the label of "baseball player."

This journey has led me to the worlds of life coaching and motivational speaking and now, to this very podcast you are about to listen to.

I am on a mission to let men know that it's okay to feel things, it's okay to be scared, it's okay to not have all the answers. The archaic rules of "being a man" are outdated and have done us more harm than good.
