3 Actions we MUST take as Christians:

1. SUBMIT to your masters? (1 Peter 2:18)
2. Submission of Employee to Employer
3. good or bad bosses – doesn’t matter – submit
4. in everything…trying to please them all the time (Colossians 3:22) Why? o because of your fear of the Lord (Colossians 3:22) o Your job is your mission field (Titus 2:9-10) How? o As Christians we must work as though working for the Lord vs. people (Colossians 3:23)
5. When we submit to human authority it demonstrates our submission to God’s authority

6. Exception – if submission would ever contradict your obedience to the Lord (Acts 5)

7. SUFFER for doing good (1 Peter 2:19-21)

8. No credit for suffering for your own sin (vs. 20)
9. You’ve been called for this very purpose (vs. 21)

10. You will suffer (2 Timothy 3:12, James 1:2)

11. SEEK to follow Him (1 Peter 2:21-25)

12. Jesus gave himself as an example for us

How did He do it? o He kept entrusting himself to His Father (vs. 23) o Human strength + willpower = not enough Why did He do it? o so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (vs. 24)
