Gerry Kelly, CEO of Sovereign group was brought up in a family of 6 boys and educated at Blackrock College, Dublin.  He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1987 and joined Sovereign Trust in Gibraltar as Group Finance Director in 2002, rising to Group Operations Director in 2008 before being appointed Group CEO in 2018.  Today Sovereign is a major supporter of Menopause awareness in the workplace ad have recently won the Gibsams Wellbeing in the Workplace Award (2022)
