The pandemic caused confusion, depression, and anxiety, leading many individuals to seek therapy.
Therapy helps restore balance, address confusion, and cope with life changes.
Finding a Therapist:
Seeking recommendations from friends and exploring online therapist profiles and websites.
Factors to consider when choosing a therapist include age, race, gender, ethnicity, and gender identity.
Online resources make it easier to find a therapist who aligns with an individual's needs and preferences.
Essential Qualities in a Therapist:
Empathy, active listening, and goal-setting are crucial for a productive therapeutic relationship.
A therapist serves as a guide, focusing on guidance rather than friendship.
Building trust is essential for personal growth and breaking down walls.
Elements of a Successful Therapeutic Relationship:
Online vs. In-Person Therapy:
Preferences vary; some prefer in-person therapy for a sense of being away from distractions, while others find online therapy convenient.
Virtual therapy can overcome obstacles like travel and increase appointment attendance.
Insurance limitations may impact the choice between online and in-person therapy.
Sliding scale fees can be considered for affordability if insurance limits in-person sessions.
Trying Online Therapy:
Challenges of Online Therapy:
Unplugging from work during online therapy sessions can be difficult, but creating a conducive environment can help.
In-office activities, such as writing on paper, may have a more significant impact.
Questions to Ask When Interviewing a Therapist:
Understand the therapist's approach and how they will address your situation.
Discuss session duration, frequency, fees, payment options, availability, and the therapeutic process.
Asking questions helps align expectations and find the right fit.
Seeking Additional Resources:
Asking questions and seeking information helps therapists determine if their services align with the client's needs.
Referrals to psychiatrists or outside support may be necessary.
Therapy Red Flags:
Red flags for therapists include missing or forgetting client information and asking repetitive questions.
Clients who dominate the conversation without actively participating can also raise concerns.
Therapist's Limitations:
Client Red Flags:
Red flags in clients include discussions of self-harm, harm to others, revengeful thoughts, substance abuse, and legal issues.
Clients who go through the motions without actively engaging in therapy may also raise concerns.
Working Towards Independence:
Life Experience in Therapy:
Ending the Therapeutic Relationship:
Clients may choose various ways to end the relationship, such as not showing up for appointments, leaving voicemails expressing dissatisfaction, disconnecting at the end of a session, or directly verbalizing their decision.
There is no definitive right or wrong way to end therapy; it depends on the client's comfort

"The Limit Does Not Exists" explores the power of the mind and how we can overcome self-imposed limitations to achieve our goals. In today's episode, we will be discussing how to remove limiting beliefs and unleash our true potential.
Introduction: Work That Inspires
We start by discussing the difference between influencing versus doing work that inspires others to discover their truths.

Segment 2: Replacing limiting beliefs with empowering actions

Key Points;
All Social Media Is Created Equally: But What Are The Pros And Cons?
In our daily lives, multitasking has become a recurrent topic. It's amazing how we handle everything. It is because, for work, education, personal use, and social interaction, we rely on smartphones/gadgets. A big part of our daily life now involves the internet. Likewise, social media.
Like most things, using social media has its positives and negatives. In this episode, Sarah and Stef talk about properly utilizing social media platforms on personal and professional levels.
Key Points;
The act of loving your own health and overall happiness is known as self-love. It entails accepting self-care and support without conditions. Self-care is essential for maintaining one's physical, emotional, and mental well. The ability to properly care for your everyday requirements, such as eating, sleeping, and grooming, is the finest definition of self-care.
However, self-care can occasionally seem impossible when you have depression. You feel worn out and listless, and you're tormented by destructive ideas and feelings of despair that keep tugging at the seams of your mind. In actuality, if you suffer from a mental illness, some days it's difficult to love anything in the world, much less oneself.
Why is self love important? And how are we going to practice it?
In this episode, Sadie shares her mental health healing journey and how she is finally able to also love herself.

What actual knowledge do you have regarding ADHD? Are those with ADHD less intelligent? Are they sluggish? Does having trouble concentrating indicate that you have ADHD?
A widespread misconception concerning ADHD is that it only affects children. Well, this is partly untrue. ADHD is a mental illness that usually affects not just children, but also ADULTS.
In this episode, Shane Trapp talks and shares about how it is being an adult who has ADHD and helps us understand ADHD (ADD) in adults.

How stigmas surrounding men's mental health can be for our society?
Stigmas related to mental health are pervasive and frequent in our society. – Especially to Men. Statistically, men are more likely to engage in risky, self-destructive behaviors rather than seek professional help for their mental health. They can put off or put off getting help out of fear that they will be treated differently or because they believe that getting help for a mental health problem makes them less manly.
Mental health issues can affect everyone, regardless of gender. In order to receive assistance and care, it is crucial that men are empowered to speak up when they are struggling.
In this episode, Dr. Brett discusses the stigma associated with mental illness, society's expectations of males in terms of how they should act and behave, and the difficulties men confront in today's environment and talks about the time to end the stigma associated with mental illness and despair-where men need to stop wearing "Man Masks" with Stef.

What does it mean to live authentically?
The expression is frequently used. They advised us to live an authentic life, but how can we discover that spot within ourselves?
For something to live authentically, it must originate internally. When our words and deeds reflect our views and moral principles, we are acting morally. Being authentic is not trying to act or seem like someone else or what we've been told to. In authentic, there is no "should".
How many of us have actually taken the time to get to know ourselves on this deep level if being authentic implies being our true selves? Tune in as on this episode, Joe shares and talks about how to live authentically and how he finds answers to living and working through life authentically.
