ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brooks Eason loves stories - reading and writing them, hearing and telling them. He also loves music, dogs, and campfires as well as his family and friends. Brooks has practiced law for more than thirty-five years but is giving up writing briefs to write books. Brooks, who has three children and four grandchildren, lives in Madison, Mississippi, with his wife Carrie, their senior rescue dogs Buster and Maddie, and a stray cat they adopted and named Count Rostov for the hero in Amor Towles' novel A Gentleman in Moscow. In their spare time, Brooks and Carrie host house concerts, grow tomatoes, and dance in the kitchen.

ABOUT THE BOOK - BEDTIME WITH BUSTER

Do you channel your dog? In Bedtime with Buster, author Brooks Eason does. And does he ever! In this hilarious, insightful new book, the author and his handsome hound Buster debate a number of existential questions for dogs: Why don’t they live as long as people do? Why don’t they have thumbs? Why can’t mixed-breed dogs compete at Westminster? And what did a hound dog ever do to Elvis?

Buster is both philosopher and humorist, a four-legged Mark Twain. He would be wise and funny if he were a person. For a canine, he’s a doggone genius. Unfortunately, having been told all his life how handsome he is, Buster is also vain. He thinks of himself as a young Sean Connery. When he walks past a mirror, it’s all he can do not to lick the glass.
