Nearly every prophet in the Old Testament had a specialty. Their ministries were each characterized by some part of their individualism, or their specific calling or gifting. While one was a worker of miracles, another would be a seer of things to come. God specifically prepared them for the need of their days. In the same way, He equips the saints of God today with special characteristics. God has specifically called and equipped YOU for the job He has chosen you for, in His Kingdom! There's a similarity in each of us too though. The underlying quality that he looked for in each prophet, and that he looks for in each of us today, is faithfulness to Him and His word!
The Children of Israel had a promise from God of a land flowing with milk and honey. Yet they were willing to settle for going back to onions and taskmasters. They were freed from slavery, but still bound in the hearts. They tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel in their lives, when they didn’t remember His power! We have a tendency to do the same. Are you limiting God? Key Text: Psa.78:40-43
“The God of Restoration” God is THE God of Restoration! He desires to restore everything that has been stolen, everything that has been lost, everything that has been promised but we’ve been talked out of… Nothing is too hopeless! Nothing is too lost! Nothing is too broken that He cannot restore!! One day He finally will restore all things, but for now let him bring restoration to you! Key Text: Joel 2:23-26
At the time of these two chapters (36 & 37) Israel is in Babylonian captivity…but they had a promise of restoration. A promise from God, that He would bring a spiritual awakening to Israel!! Israel had figuratively become a bone yard, like this Valley of Bones in chapter 37. They were Spiritually dead, and the bones were dry, but God was promising to restore them once again to life! Much of the church of today, is in the same spiritual condition. Yet I believe God is about to raise up a mighty army from these bones, the church! Key Text: Ezekiel 37:1-14
The death of the seed produces a harvest, but also creates numerous seeds for a much greater potential FUTURE harvest! Christ is the example in John 12:24. He had to die, to produce a harvest. Yet, if we are talking about OUR FAITH, then we have to let the seed of our faith die... Plant it in the soil of hope and let God have it! Take your hands off. Let it take you through all the stages of waiting... but expect!
God is a great mystery! He always has been, and He has chosen to conceal himself from mankind in many ways. Yet, God has more recently revealed Himself in the person of Jesus Christ! We can know Him, and what He is like! Now, God’s secret is out!
In this message we look at the Biblical concept of fasting and talk about why we fast, and how to fast. Fasting is not something most Christians do often. Some have never fasted. While fasting certainly isn't required to get into heaven, Jesus said his disciples would fast. So it was expected. Too often we allow the body to feast while our spirit goes hungry. This makes us weak spiritually. Perhaps fasting is allowing the physical body to go hungry so the spirit can feast, and therefore grow strong. In any case, fasting is an offering of humility, and an experience in the sorrow of repentance, that allows us to place our carnal man in subjection to the Spirit of God. In doing so we experience Spiritual gain, greatly!
In the sermon "A Servant LIKE Jesus" Pastor Jerry looks at the example Jesus set for us, as servants of the Most High God. With all that the Lord has done for each of us, He of course deserves our very best, not half hearted service. What does your service look like to Him? Are you a rebellious servant? or a Faithful Servant? I'm sure, as Christians... We all want to be a servant like Jesus. (Part 5 in the "LIKE" Series). Due to weather, this message was preached Virtually/Online rather than in person.
Ruth was faithful to Naomi, even when Naomi had nothing to offer to her. Naomi urged Ruth to leave her, and go on with her life... go back to her family, find a husband... But Ruth would not leave her. What if we were that faithful to our God. Even when He isn't blessing, even if we don't see the miracle, even if my prayers aren't answered, can I, will I still follow Him? God's supply doesn't run out like Naomi's did, but still we struggle to walk in such faithfulness. What if we just followed Christ, with faithfulness like Ruth had? (Part 4 in the Series: "LIKE")
Our nation is in moral decline... only the church can change this. What's your part?

Even though God has every right to pour His anger upon men, He is very merciful and long-suffering! His anger will come upon this world. Yet, right now He is waiting on you and your loved ones to make things right with Him. God is so merciful... So why is He so offensive to those of this world? Even with all His mercy, God is offensive. You can see it if you watch the news or you may see it if try to tell a stranger, or even a family member, of the goodness of God. Why? Because He is holy and we are sinful. God has laid a trap, so to speak, a stumbling stone a rock of offense. He did this to TRIP US UP... so that we might see our need for Him. This "Stone", Jesus, offends us because of His perfection and our imperfection. Listen to "Why is God so Offensive".

Today's sermon, taken from Daniel 11 and Ecclesiastes 3, pulls two scripture passages together that may seem odd to put together at first. Daniel says, "The people who know their God will be strong and do exploits!" Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time for everything. NOW is the time for the people of God to know Him, so that He might use us to do His plan in our lives, and in the Earth. Listen and be challenged!

Jesus paid the ultimate price upon a cross. His sacrifice was complete, and enough! Yet, He says, “If you will follow me… deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me.” So you and I also have an offering to give God, for the sake of the Gospel.
The messenger of God carries the heavy responsibility of speaking on the behalf of God and if he/she speaks the warning, the judgment that Gods sends will be upon the people as he has foretold, but the watchman will be held responsible if he doesn't tell them. America, and the American church, is receiving a warning of God’s judgment for our sins. The sins are many! We must repent!
So, is Novel Coronavirus a plague? Is the threat of it, just a hoax or political tactic? Is it one of the last day judgements of God upon the world?
It’s been called all of the above but, time will tell which is correct… if either.
Whatever the case, we MUST know where our security comes from. If our trust is in God we are ultimately safe. As Christians we may suffer difficulty but our hope is eternal. Faith over fear is the word of the day!

For the most part, I don’t think Christians believe this scripture.
If we did… We wouldn’t fear or worry so much about everything. We would trust God far more in our everyday lives ...and we would know, by faith, that God will take care of EVERYTHING that comes our way. We would realize that our eternal good, far out-weighs the good or bad we face in our present. We would trust that even the most difficult things in our lives, are working toward a greater Good.
The Apostle says, in Romans 8:28, “We Know…” that all things work together... for good… to them that love God… to them who are the called… according to His purpose.
Do YOU know this? ALL THINGS work for our good, as Christians.

2. extravagant in giving, overflowing in graciousness, abundant in love.
Prodigal -- one word encompassing what appears to be two contrasting illustrations. In actuality, these two images run parallel to one another with a unique correlation: grace.
When looking at the Prodigal son, we often fail to see the character of the Prodigal father. Sometimes unconditional love looks reckless. Extravagant giving may appear careless. Overflowing graciousness might look wasteful...
But we were once mirror images of self-indulgence until someone with extravagant love and graciousness said, "Come home."

Jacob was a notorious deceiver -- even his name, something he responded to daily, convicted and reminded him of his past. Alone with God he cried out in desperation, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"
In one encounter, desperation can turn into destiny.
Jacob, who the world once saw as a schemer, was renamed Israel-- Prince with God. The world may call you by your mistakes but the One who created you calls you by a new name.
God wants for you to admit what you have been so He can reveal to you who you can be. It's time that we be honest with God... He knows anyway.

In this second message of the Easter season, preached on Easter Sunday, Pastor Jerry takes us from where we left off last week, at the place of what looked like Jesus's greatest tragedy. Jesus seemed to have fallen from the pinnacle of His ministry, where he was being worshiped and proclaimed king and Messiah, to the place that the crowds had turned on Him and demanded His crucifixion! It appeared to be a great tragedy to all who beheld it, especially the disciples and Jesus's mother... But Jesus was not finished yet! Stay with the story! He not only returned from this tragedy to triumph, but he was victorious over Death and Hell!!. I hope you are encouraged and blessed as you listen, because in His triumph yours was insured if you will put your faith in HIM!

In this first message headed into the Easter Season, Pastor Jerry sets the stage by revealing what we call "Palm Sunday" must have looked like. Jesus seemed to be at the pinnacle of His ministry and now He was riding in on a donkey, the historic transportation of Kings and Priests in Israel. This was the fulfillment of several scriptures, but also a declaration of who He was, The King and The Messiah... But the Triumphal Entry turned to tragedy when the same crowd who praised Him, turned on Him... I hope you are encouraged and blessed as you listen!
Most Christians seem to take the attitude of a popular saying of the day when it comes to Christian Maturity. According to the saying from Chili Davis, “Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.” While the saying is cute and witty, it’s not reasonable when speaking of Christian Maturity. Sure, we must remain child-like in our faith, but we are told to "grow up into the Head", Christ. As a local body of believers, we should make it our priority that we grow up in Christ, become Spiritually mature Christians, TRUE disciples, so we can make true disciples and further the Kingdom of God. In Part One of the series "God of Restoration", Pastor Jerry looks at how God gives back to us the things that have been lost or taken away. Many times we allow things in our lives that pull us or separate us from God. We push Him out of our lives and forget all of the great things He has done for us. But even then, if we turn back to God, He will be there for us and begin to give back. God is a restorer of souls, a restorer of vision, a restorer of health, a restorer of what was lost, a restorer of dreams, a restorer of families, a restorer of lives… a restorer of HOPE!! Nothing is too hopeless, nothing is too lost, nothing is too broken, that He cannot restore it!! God is THE God of Restoration!
There is so much more to life than just what meets the eye… Sight is a great blessing, blindness CAN BE a curse… yet we are all sometimes hindered by what we can see in the natural. We are hindered by what we can naturally see, because it takes our attention off what we can't see, but should see ...in the spirit realm. We see the visible things most clearly because we live in a visible physical world, yet we serve an invisible God and we fight in an unseen spiritual war. (Check your eyes. What are you missing?). 2 Cor. 5:7 says, "We walk by faith not by sight…" There’s a reason the Word of the Lord has told us this.Our natural eyes are deceptive...With our physical eyes we see only what is natural...With our physical eyes we can only see what’s visible. BUT MOST of what we deal with is invisible, unseen, even supernatural. If we don’t learn to see with spiritual eyes, we will see only the wrong things and remain blinded to what God is doing around us and to Satan’s trickery that is meant to trip us up! Don’t try to live the Christian life blinded to the spirit world… allow the Holy Spirit to give you vision…Don’t trust your natural eyes, they are deceptive, trust God’s revelation.
How many of you remember a time when Christmas seemed MUCH more special than it does today? I suspect it’s because of changes in our life and family that has changed our perspective. It could also be the commercialization and the busy-ness of the holiday has changed our perspective. To help us regain the Joy of Christ in Christmas, we should remind ourselves of the true blessing of Christmas. Its about … A sign of a virgin conceiving and GOD living with us! It is about... GOD loving a fallen world so much that HE provided atonement! Christmas hasn’t diminished!!Our perspective of Christmas, or our motive for celebration may have changed… But Christmas HASN’T lost it’s beauty!! Christmas hasn’t diminished!! CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT CHRIST!
In the message "A Love Story", Minister Brian Hall looks at the story of Ruth and how it relates to us today. Here we would find a man, Boaz, who would look at after Ruth and pursue her. Jesus is the same way with us. We didn't deserve it but Jesus saw something in us just as Boaz saw something in Ruth. Boaz would do anything for Ruth despite her not being from Judah. He looked beyond that and saw her for who she was. This is what Jesus did for us. Have you fallen away from Him or fallen out of love? No matter the reason, Jesus is there waiting to out His loving arms around you.
What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? Family time, catching up with those you are not able to be with as much as you would like? A huge meal with Turkey and dressing and all of the fixings? What about each person in the family sharing something they are thankful for? I love that, but the kids seem to always hate to be put on the spot. Nowadays, the day is almost too hectic to even get the time for that. We often forget to be thankful to God. This should be at the forefront in our relationship with Him. It brings about peace and joy in our lives even when things aren't going well. Thanksgiving to God is an act of worship. The Lord deserves Thanks because He is good to us and because He is righteous. We should give thanks to Him in ALL things! If you are struggling in your walk with The Lord, begin to give Him thanks and watch your situations change. We have so much to be thankful for!
Many of us are wanting The Lord to show Himself strong on our behalf. The prerequisite though, is that God is LOOKING for someone whose heart is 'perfect toward Him'. I believe a heart wholly toward God is a description of a person who is full of faith! That KIND of faith is what God is looking for.You cannot have faith in God, partially and expect anything. There is nothing wrong with doctors, but why do we trust them more than God? There’s nothing wrong with leaning on friends, or confidants, but why do we lean on them MORE than we lean on God? Why do we trust man’s wisdom, or money in the bank, or governmental power, or ANYTHING more than God? God is always asking us to trust Him for more, and it seems we are always lacking in the faith we desire to Have in Him. Yet He is trustworthy!! His Word speaks of faith in numerous scriptures. If He said it, it’s true! You can believe what God has said, and you can step out on it.” That KIND of faith, WILL ‘do' something because it knows God will meet it where it is. I WANT THAT KIND OF FAITH! Don't you?
When you’ve been with Jesus, it’s apparent... And when you’ve not, it is just as noticeable. There is no substitution for being in the presence of Christ. Nothing makes you so bold a witness…Education can make you bold. Training can make you bold. But being in the presence of God can empower you to do your calling, and it’s exhilarating! There are times when we need to rest. That rest we find is in Jesus. This is when He can speak to us and we need to pay attention to what is being said. This is evident in the story of Mary and Martha. When you have been with Jesus, the atmosphere around you will change to the point that people CANNOT deny the power of God working in you. When you're with Jesus the distractions of life and the encumbrances of worry and trouble in serving fade to meaninglessness, as you are filled with the ability to accomplish His purpose!
God wants you to know His plan, understand His plan, and complete your part of His plan. He announces plans and then He does them. When we feel like nothing is going right, it's great to know that God has a plan. Your small part in His big plan, is revealed over time as you are faithfully close to Him while continually listening and consistently and obediently doing what His Spirit is saying. God does NOT want you in the dark on this...If we are in the dark, it's due to our choice or Satan's deception. We are to be mindful of such things. That is why it is so important to follow the Holy Spirit. Remember, He wants you to fulfill YOUR portion of His plan. Do you have that same desire? He has so many good things for you and your walk with Him. He wants you to find your purpose and begin to move in it. Your calling is to help fulfill God's purpose... Find it and do it!
It's great to know that God has a plan for us. His plan is for all of mankind. Is it fulfilled today? Yes, in the natural. No, in the Spiritual. Certainly, we messed that up when we submitted to Satan's will in Eden. We were to fear Him and follow His Commandments. This was to worship and be obedient to Him. God, of course, knew we would fail...So He built into His plan a redeemer. God's plan for mankind required Him to save us from ourselves, because we fell from His grace. This now requires us to be in relationship with Him. Although we couldn't make it happen, He can! We are called to be ambassadors to this world on His behalf. Showing this world there is a better way and a Savior! His plan sees the end from the beginning, the big plan of God then, has always been to redeem us after our fall, allow us to help rescue others, then make all who are redeemed, His heirs!
Yahweh (YHWH) is the name of God commonly considered to mean "I AM", or "I AM that I AM", or "the existing One". Many scholars believe that the most proper meaning may be "He Brings into Existence Whatever Exists". Having 4 letters "YHWH", the Jewish people consider it too sacred to even utter the name, so they simply say "HaShem" meaning "The Name" to be sure they don't use the Name of the Lord God in vain. I'm certain God deserves more honor and praise we ever give Him. Our God created everything that exists...and still creates every moment of our future. God is Omnipotent which means He is the Almighty, ruler of all and holds sway over all things. He is also Omniscient which means that He has perfect knowledge of all things. He does not have to learn anything and He has not forgotten anything. God knows the end from the beginning and He knows all the possible/potential endings. You see, God is everything to me and every one of us need God to be God right now. We all have many needs and we don't need a little god that fits our understanding or can sit on our shelf. We need "YHWH"!
In the message "The Fruitful Tree: Rooted and Reaching", Pastor Jerry looks at the offices of an elder and a deacon. In John 15:8, Jesus refers to himself as the vine and us as His branches. It's only in Him that we can be fruitful. Bringing forth much fruit glorifies God! The analogy of a tree can also be used as a metaphor to understand the working of elders and deacons. The difference between the two is that elders rule and deacons serve. There are similarities in the requirements of the offices, but their functions are completely different. Both are appointed, based on character and Godliness, and the fullness of the Holy Spirit in them. Strong’s concordance says: Elders are “those who presided over assemblies (or churches)” It also says, "The NT uses the term bishop, elders, and presbyters interchangeably" Strong's says, Deacon is a “(Servant- one who executes the commands of another, especially of a master. A servant, an attendant, a minister)". Now, let's go back to the analogy of the tree. A tree that is rooted well, has green leaves even in drought and keeps on bearing fruit. Elders are like roots that are rooted deep in the Word and are foundational and unmoving. Deacons are like limbs/branches that have no fear of reaching for the heights, often having great goals or lofty ideas for future growth. A church with both deacons and elders abiding in their calling and functioning properly, will be like a fruitful tree that’s rooted deep in the Lord, and reaching for all that God has destined it to!
In the message "Intentions & Motives", Minister Brian Hall looks at what really motivates us serving God. We can have the best of intentions, but if the motives are not of God, then we need to really take a look at our lives. Throughout The Bible it is mentioned that God will look at a man's heart to see what he/she truly is being motivated by. Is it for self-gain, to be seen, or is it for God? If we aren't careful, we can begin to be influenced by things not of God. This was what happened to Samson. He was a great Godly man who had a strong relationship with God. But over time and the influence of Delilah, Samson fell and was defeated. He was delivered to his enemies and they gouged his eyes out. Samson was a man of great faith but he messed up and that faith collapsed. This story represents many Christians of today. They are close to God but over time they begin to be influenced or motivated by ungodly things. But like Samson, they don't have to stay there. Samson called out to God even though he was blind. And God answered him! We can have that same rescue also. We just need to repent and have Jesus Christ as our motivation!
Prayer can be powerful, yet most of us do far too little of it. WE NEED to be ENDUED with power I believe that Christian power ALWAYS begins with prayer. Certainly the Holy Spirit is all the power we need, but Prayer is the access to the power of God! What Power is in prayer? It can change the outlook,it can influence surroundings and it can bring hope. Prayer, or a form of prayer, is done in almost all religions. Moments of silence are a replacement of prayer in our society. Eastern Meditation is sometimes replacing prayer in the lives of some people. BUT if you are praying, even in faith, to a god who isn't God... you are wasting your time and your efforts! BUT worse than wasting time, you arouse the anger of the Living God. But prayer in the name of Jesus, in the authority of Jesus, is a whole different ball game!!! The power of prayer in Christ can change our outlook, influence our surroundings, bring hope, vanquish our enemies, invites God into our situations, delivers us into the throne room, or USHERS us into the Presence of God! There is power in prayer when it is in Jesus Christ!
The Valley Of Elah was the physical location that David faced his giant. Spiritually speaking, it is also where we will face our giants! Perhaps it's fear, or ridicule and the diminished expectations of others ...as David faced from Goliath, or perhaps it's a giant unlike Goliath. Either way, it’s there we must take our stand! It's also where the extraordinary power of God can be revealed in us and it’s a place for Spiritual promotion! The place we take our stand, with no hope in self but all faith in God, becomes the place we allow God to take our ordinary and make it extraordinary.
How many of you want to advance/grow/gain victory/walk in more authority/have more trust placed in you... in the Kingdom of God? Someone said that "as soon you are victorious over one battle, God sets up a more difficult opposition." I questioned that for a while until I considered what was really being said... and I believe it's true. See God HAS ordained your victory, your promotion.God doesn't give victory (or promotion) indiscriminately! God looks for faithfulness, and victory is given to the one who is faithful through the fight! Sure, He gives it graciously, as none of us deserve anything! But He gives promotion, victory, and favor, based on our faithful obedience! This might not be a popular word, but it's Biblical. In the kingdom of God, there is no promotion without devotion. Getting to the next phase of your life victoriously, depends on how faithful you are right now. Who want's a promotion? Who want's a victory? Be faithful with all that God has entrusted to you today... So you can receive all He want's you to gain tomorrow.
In the message "Profitable Transformation", Minister Bart Brooks looks at how we as the body of Christ should be going out to those that are hurting and that need Jesus Christ to come into their lives. There many people in the world today who are hurting and that have been turned away by the body of Christ for many different reasons. Is this what we are supposed to do? Is this what Jesus did? NO! Those very people who have been rejected are the ones that need a Profitable Transformation by Jesus Christ. We just need to be ready and willing to be used by Him. Please join me in going out into this world and showing them the very help they need, JESUS CHRIST!
In the message "I Have Opened My Mouth", Pastor Jerry looks at the story of Jepthah in Judges 11:30-40. The name Jepthah (Yip-tach') means "to open". He opened his mouth and caused himself all kinds of trouble. Many of us, men and women, could do well to learn from this story to keep our mouths closed, rather than speaking hastily or carelessly. Jepthah made a vow to God that if he won victory over the Ammonites, that he would sacrifice "whatever" came out of the house to meet him upon his return from war. This sacrifice would so happen to be his daughter. This was NOT the will of God for him to offer his daughter as a sacrifice. Jepthah had...Misplaced priorities, a Misunderstanding of God’s heart, he Misspoke a vow, then he had Misgivings of a very poor decision. Jepthah traded love, for respect. What is advancement worth? In trying to get what he thought would be precious and bring fulfillment, he lost what was most precious to him. Don't do that! Keep what's precious, precious!
In the message "Disciple Making", Pastor Jerry discusses the 3 steps of making disciples that is outlined in Matthew 28:18-20. They are to baptize, cast a vision and teach them to observe the commandments of Jesus Christ.
In the message "Stay On Target", Minister Brian Hall looks at Hebrews 12:1-3 with a Star Wars story. In this passage of scripture, we are instructed to be wary of sin and things that can distract us from our target, Jesus Christ. There many things that will try to get us off of our mission. In Star Wars, Luke Skywalker had a mission to destroy the Deathstar. During this mission, the enemy came from every direction. They were trying to keep him from completing his mission.We also face many distractions today. Sometimes it seems like they are coming from every direction.Don't give in! Luke would not give in because he would STAY ON TARGET. He couldn't accomplish this mission alone. He would be paired up with a small droid named R2D2. Notice they were sent out in pairs just like the disciples were. During the last run, The Force came and spoke to Luke. This would help him complete the mission in a different way than man thought it would go. The Holy Spirit is the force that speaks and leads us today. Our goal is Jesus Christ and to do as HE commanded "...go make disciples of many nations..". Let's follow Jesus and STAY ON TARGET!
In this message today, I want to encourage you to increase your fellowship with the Holy Spirit! We should manifest the Fruit of the Spirit if we have the Holy Spirit in us. We should also seek to yield ourselves to the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit in us, individually and corporately. The CHURCH is in desperate need of the Holy Spirit's working with in her in this day... The Wind of God blowing through us!) Both gifts and fruit are needed in the Christian, and should rightly be desired. One cannot properly be demonstrated without the other. The Fruit should be more desired I believe than even the gifts, as it's the fruit of the Spirit that associates us with Christ. And it's the Fruit that allows the world to taste and see the goodness of the Lord's character, through us. (He is the vine, we are the branch, the fruit of the Spirit hangs on the branches, but is a product of the vine.) Without the fruit, the gifts would just be a noise. The Holy Spirit is wanting to show the world their sins and to build up the body of Christ. Let's allow The Holy Spirit to lead us in our daily walk and let the Spirit's fruit be evident. Then the gifts will follow.
At some point and time in all of our lives, a mother has had an impact on us. She not only took care and nurtured us but also probably exampled some Godly qualities too. In this message, we will look at the story of the Shummanite woman, her son that had died and Elisha in 2 Kings 4:8-37. In this story, we can see seven Godly qualities that a mother should have. Those are being Prominent (notable, outstanding, remarkable, distinguished, Influential), Persuasive (motivating, inspiring, constraining, Convincing), Perceptiveness (observant, sensitive, wise, insightful), Propitious (helpful, favorably inclined, Beneficial), Plenitude (being complete, ample supply, enough), Positiveness (favorable, agreeable, unambiguous, content, Confident), Persistent (relentless, tenacious, stubborn, steadfast, Unshakable). This mother never gave up and trusted God with her situation. We as Christians should do the same. Through God, all things are possible!
In the message "Identity Theft", Pastor Jerry looks at the story in the New Testament of the man that was possessed by an unclean spirit that Jesus would cast out of him. This story represents the things the enemy does to people today. There are some things we can relate to. The man in this story wore no clothes. This would represent how the devil stripped the man of his dignity. It also tells us that the man was driven into the wilderness by these devils. If we allow this to happen, we will be driven away from those that are close to us, even God. When Jesus asked the MAN his name, the devils answered. This man had lost his identity!! He had become so confused by Satan that he didn't know who he was. This spirit is rampant in the world today! ...AND it's in the church. Men don't know they are men. Women don't know they are women and Children of the Most High God are unsure of who they are in Christ! YOU ARE NOT the fetters that have held you. YOU ARE NOT the places you have found yourself! YOU ARE NOT the job you do, or the habit you have!! YOU have become the FOCUS of JESUS Christ and YOU WILL NEVER be the same!! Jesus desires to restore your identity... that Satan has stolen! ...And give you something worthwhile to do... something of eternal significance.
In the Bible what was just Normal Faith, is absolutely Radical by our standards! I’m unsure that we are Radical Enough. I don't think many of us are really accustomed to living out what might be called the 'normal Christianity' of the Bible. Faith that fully, and obviously, trusts God to be God in every situation is very uncommon. Authentic Christian Discipleship (AKA: Normal Christianity) is lived out as a Radical Faith in God. It doesn't conform to the world's standards. It doesn't have the same values. Most Christians in America, and probably much of the world in this 21st century, are receiving a "Gospel" that seems to require no sacrifice, no change, and no repentance. In other words, "a non-biblical gospel." The Gospel of Jesus Christ is RADICAL! The world hates it, and they'll hate us if we stand for it, ...because they hate Him. What can you do, to be more radical as a Christian? We can become more "NORMAL" according to biblical standards.
In the message "This Ain't His First Stone", Pastor Jerry looks at the stone that blocked the tomb of Jesus. At resurrection day, the women expected the stone to be blocking their access to Jesus. They didn’t know HOW they would move it... Yet by faith they went on to the tomb! We often expect things to block our access as well. There are lots of rock hard difficulties that stand in our way often... But Jesus has never been hindered by a stone before... or any obstacle for that matter.I want you to take a look at this from Jesus' perspective though. The two Mary's and Salome were asking, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” Jesus on the other hand was looking for an EXIT ...FROM the tomb....BUT IF DEATH CAN'T STOP YOU, A STONE COVERING THE TOMB CERTAINLY CAN'T!! Jesus has always moved stones... AND He can do it again, anytime He chooses!! There is NO obstacle that can keep you bound, if Jesus comes on the scene. There is NO obstacle that can keep you from His presence, if you will go toward Him by faith! This Ain't His First Stone!
In the message "This Changes Everything", Pastor Jerry and Sister Tracy look at some of the people who were around when Jesus was crucified and when He arose from the grave. They give us a perspective that we can look at. As Christians, it's very important for us to see how those around Jesus at the time acted and lived. There are a few things that make Christianity so different from the other religions of the worlds, and they are most wondrous things! Jesus was born of a virgin. Jesus was God and Man all at once. Jesus conquered Death of His own accord. Jesus offered us relationship with the creator of all the universe; not just the chance to worship Him, but the opportunity to know Him personally. These things are so amazing that some cannot, or will not, accept them. But as we explore the Resurrection we must grapple with the truth of Jesus defeating death BECAUSE..."This Changes Everything!"
"God Is Faithful" is part 5 in the series "Biblical Concepts That Keep Me Focused". One of the most comforting things about God, especially our loving, Just/Holy, Omnipresent, Sovereign...God, is that He is faithful. His faithfulness helps to keep me focused. We've all had people to let us down. We've all let people down. Yet God is always faithful! He doesn't always do things as we expect, or would even like, but He is ALWAYS faithful. He's faithful to His Word. He's faithful to His character. He's faithful to His promises. He's faithful to His people. Our faith, to a great extent, depends upon His faithfulness. If you are struggling in your walk with The Lord, remember He is there for you and will always be there. All you have to do is turn it over to Him and fully commit your life and He will be faithful to you in all things. Our Heavenly Father will never leave us or forsake us!
"God Is Just" is part 4 in the series "Biblical Concepts That Keep Me Focused". Why... is God just? Is it because (God is Love) He is love ? No, love doesn’t cause one to display justice. Is it because He is concerned what some group of people might think? No, I’m convinced God doesn’t care what you think about Him or His standards. God is just, because He is Holy. His justice stems from His holiness. God is holy! He is set-apart from all sin, untainted by sin and unrighteousness... Therefore he cannot be unjust... because being unjust would taint him with sin. This keeps me focused because... When we see God as Holy, we will realize He has no alternative than to BE JUST! When we know that God is just, we know that if God is just, then injustice and sin will be dealt with. It's hard to imagine a God of justice would EVEN be able to show mercy, and still be just... BUT He is able because of Christ. The key to a just God, who is bound by holiness, but can yet bestow mercy is all found in the substitutionary work of Christ on Calvary. Jesus BECAME sin, so that I could become righteous. Again... He became my sin, and made me God's righteousness!! God can rightly give me all the mercy He desires, because of the work of Christ and my faith in Him!!
"God Is Love" is part three in the series titled "Biblical Concepts That Keep Me Focused". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how the love of Jesus Christ needs to be in our lives in order for us to truly be a disciple. Love is the key "identification tool" for disciples of Christ. The word says... ALL will know we are his disciples by our love. This includes other disciples and those in the world. ALL will know (by love)... That's EVERYONE! Clearly a true disciple's witness can not be hidden... because true love in the Body of Christ will be evident. We need to have the AGAPE (unconditional "God like") love in our lives. It cannot be faked. Our level of love (Agape) indicates how well we are connected with God. When I consider the intense, deep, unconditional (reckless) love that God has displayed toward me through Jesus Christ, my faith is strengthened and my love for Him is heightened. I'm challenged to return the same type love to Him, and then as Jesus commanded, to attempt that same love toward my brothers and sisters! Please join me in this!
"God Is Sovereign" is Part 2 in the series titled "Biblical Concepts That Keep Me Focused". God not only sees and hears, but He alone holds absolute power and authority over EVERYTHING that we encounter. God is all powerful and ALL authority belongs to Him. With that knowledge... my busy worrisome mind, and the lying enemy of my soul, lose their power to control me. Many of us surely know that... BUT STILL we worry. That can take control of our life if we aren't mindful of it. With God's sovereign power and authority in place, and His love for us being perfect, we can rest in HIS peace and safety ...AND we can live my life in pursuit of HIS goals for our lives. This will happen when we fully submit and commit to Him. Remember, Wherever you go, whatever you do... God is still in control!!
:God Sees, God Hears" is Part 1 in the series titled "Biblical Concepts That Keep Me Focused". In this message, Pastor Jerry discusses how The Lord looks at those who are following Him and also those who are not. How does He see all of us? There are simple, and basic, truths that if we forget we react differently to what comes our way, but if we remember them there is strength and peace to be grasped. One such truth...The knowledge that God Sees everything and God hears everything can bring us great comfort, or it can cause us grave concern... and it all depends upon where we are in our relationship with Him. If there is concern, the easiest and wisest fix is repentance. If there is comfort, the most appropriate response is thanksgiving!
How do you see people these days? How do you view the situations your in? As followers of Christ, we tend to view these things through our fleshly eyes instead of the eyes of God. This is a huge problem in the church today and it really hinders our testimony to this lost world. We seem to have lost the love that Jesus had while He was on this earth. He loved those that society had cast aside or those that were diseased which would cause separation from others. Jesus would actually go and sit down with those that others would deem very bad or not worth their time. Why aren't we doing that today? It's because we have lost the love of Jesus. Our spiritual vision is blurred and we can't see who/what is front of us. Or how much they are hurting. But when we put on the eyes of Jesus, our vision becomes much clearer. We now can see the hurt that someone is going through or how to view the situation or trial we are in. This is how we as disciples of Jesus Christ are to view these things. Be encouraged today that no matter where you are in your walk with God, your vision isn't too bad that He can't correct it. Get "The Jesus View" and watch how your life and lives around you will change!
In the message "Counter Culture", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians are called to be different... We are supposed to stand out! You are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Just as salt purifies and light drives back darkness, we are called to be in opposition to this sinful world! Yet we are busy trying to fit in. They used to say, "The church is getting so worldly, and the world is getting so churchy, that it's hard to tell the difference!" It has gone so far past that now, that it's impossible to distinguish between the church and the world in many circles. The culture has driven us to look and act like them... When we should be the ones driving culture! As disciples of Christ, we have to turn loose of the predisposed ideas placed in our heads by the culture we live in... and re-fill our minds with the perspective of God and His kingdom. WE ARE a counter culture... We should not try to fit in. We are not called to conform to this world. We are called to transform into His image... and then be agents of reform in the culture around us.
In the message "I Will Declare", Pastor Jerry looks at what it means when we make a declaration of our faith in God. A declaration of faith doesn’t always come from the place of already possessing something in hand, otherwise it wouldn’t take faith. The declaration often comes through the knowledge that what we seek is within God is possession... and is therefore available BY FAITH for my procurement! A declaration of faith comes from a positive mindset, in even a negative circumstance, and is based on a desired vision with complete trust in God and His word. A declaration of faith isn’t a statement simply based on a whim, it’s a heart felt conviction based rather on God’s character and His word. I want to challenge you to begin taking inventory of what God has said, rightly divide it, believe it... then publish it... Make it know. Declare it! Stand on it! See it come to pass!
In the message "1973", Pastor Jerry discusses the correlation between the Old Testament story of Moses, the New Testament story of Jesus, and a correlation with today, while exposing the attempt of Satan to silence a God-Seeking generation and hinder the impact of the Kingdom. Threatened by an explosion of the Hebrew population Pharaoh of Egypt put out an order, in approximately 1446 BC, that ALL the Hebrew male babies be killed. In approximately 4 BC King Herod put out a similar kill order to kill all boys near Bethleham, in an effort to snuff out the life of the new born King Jesus. In 1973 the Supreme Court of the US made a ruling that would allowed for the similar killing of babies in our country in this generation. This time it’s the preborn... and this time it was both boys and girls. If we look at history, we will see that Satan has used this tactic more than once. Through all of this, God has spared you and this generation. Satan has feared this generation, just as he feared the generation of Moses and of Christ. God has called you! Show the Lord you are NOT ASHAMED!!
We are all going to deal with difficult things or circumstances (baffling winds) that arise and bring difficult situations that aren't joyous or pleasant... some are puzzling (How did I get here?!)..But the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:11-14 states that WHATEVER came his way he had LEARNED to be content, or raise a barrier against it. He had learned how to remain stable in his faith and emotions. There is a learning curve for disciples of Christ to do this. So how do we learn to deal with whatever comes, with such a calm demeanor? We MUST put all our hope in Jesus. Take Him at His word, then when He comes through, your faith Grows. What is this barrier that we can raise, against the baffling winds of this world? Our faith, our TRUST, in the Lord is that barrier we can raise against the winds of the world that baffle us. I believe that great faith can still calm storms, move mountains, raise the dead, but perhaps sometimes the ultimate measure of faith is trusting God no matter what comes our way... Through the difficulty. Some winds are good, others destroy...BUT faith will help us raise a barrier to the difficulty... and endure!
We as Christians love to remember the things God has done for us. It's good to remember the mighty things that God has done. It's okay to rehearse them in the ears of our children and grand children. We SHOULD encourage ourselves in the Lord as David did even by remembering what God has done...But God instructed Israel in Isaiah 43:15-21 to Forget ALL ABOUT it! WHY??? Here in Isaiah 43 God is telling Israel that all they have seen Him do, to this point, is absolutely NOTHING compared to what He is about to do. What was He about to do, that was new to them? He would blot out their transgression. He would forget their sins. He would send a Savior. He would take their own sins upon himself. NO ONE could have ever dreamed of such a miracle!! To be innocent, of sin?!! Just like Israel, God is wanting to do the new thing in our lives. In this new year... We need access to the "NEW" things of God. And "God will only do the NEW thing in your life, if you can let go of the old thing."
In the message "The Gift Opening", Minister Brian Hall looks at the story of the 3 wise men when they brought Jesus their gifts. Just like the 3 wise men had their gifts, we have a spiritual gift that has been inside us since birth we need to open up and use for The Lord. In some cases it could be more than 1 gift. But why is it that most Christians don't ever begin to even open up their gift? Maybe it is fear, being submitted, being complacent or pride. The wise men fell down when they came into the presence of Jesus. This would signify them being submitted. This is the first step in finding our spiritual gift. Next they began to worship Him. This is what we should be doing no matter our circumstance. Then the wise men opened up their treasures. We can begin to open our gift by prayer, being in God's Word, being humble, treating others kindly. Lastly, they presented their gifts to Jesus. Once we have opened up our gift or gifts, we use them to glorify God and further His kingdom. The 3 wise men got in the presence of Jesus Christ, fell down, worshiped Him, opened their gifts and presented them to Him. I encourage you today to begin to pursue what God has planted inside of you and to let Him direct your every path.
In the message "What Do You Call Him?", Pastor Jerry discusses the many descriptive names of Jesus. Some may call Him Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. They are ALL descriptive and each of these names reveal something about Him. Yet let me say, every one of them fall short! Jesus is so much more! It's in the name of Jesus, and only in the name of Jesus, that we may be saved. It's a name that God has highly exalted, high above every other name! It's the only name on Earth that causes demons to fear, and even flee. All of the names we have come up to describe Jesus have deep and powerful meanings. JESUS is all of them! So, what do you call HIM?
In the message "Unity Of The Body", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians are to be joined together by Jesus Christ rather than be divided by our own feelings or beliefs. 1 Corinthians 1:10 (NKJV) says "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment". This passage of scripture seems so impossible. Can we ALL speak the same thing? Can we have no divisions among us? Can we be perfectly joined in the same mind and the same judgment? The answer is YES we can. We will not necessarily agree on every thought but we can walk in agreement. Being united in speech is a key to being in unity. Why? Because words are powerful and they carry so much power is because words originate in the heart... The deepest part of us. We are to be one in Christ Jesus. He desires that as His Body, we are to be one. I encourage you today to love your brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ because that is what we are called to do!
In the message "A Generational God", Pastor Jerry looks how God wants a personal relationship with His Children no matter the generation. God desires that we pass our faith down, but not just a "stale knowledge" of Him, but a "passionate relationship" with Him. To correctly pass the truth on to the generations who follow us, we MUST HAVE a trustworthy conduit of information. One such conduit is our children raised in the fear and admonition of God, or spiritually speaking its trustworthy disciples. God told Israel to teach the next generations His laws and His ways. I believe the same is expected of us in the church for spiritual sons and daughters as well as natural. The Promises of a relational/generational God are transferable to our children, if they will come into covenant with God for themselves...such as with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Being generational also means He will “generate”. God will create... if we will relate.
As Christians, we often forget to build our spiritual house on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Instead, we rely on self to figure things out or how to make decisions. While Jesus was on the earth, He led a life that was sinless and full of teaching. As His followers, we are to follow His example and apply His teachings to our lives. Usually, we do the opposite. We will begin to build our lives on shifting sand instead of Jesus Christ The Rock. Then whenever a storm in our life comes, our spiritual house begins to crumble. Jesus wants us to trust Him with everything. So, that no matter what we might face, He will see us through. Jesus wants to do so many things for us. Lets start by building our house on The Rock of Jesus Christ!
In the message "Putting Work To The Word", Pastor Jerry looks at how Christians often will hear from God but not do what He has instructed for them to do. We all seemingly want a "word" from God...We want to know what God has called us to do personally or as a church. We want to hear a word about our life or our future. But are we willing to work when the word of the Lord comes? If God speaks, we'd better be ready to do more than just listen. God's word demands action. We tend to look at things through our natural eyes instead of God's eyes. Or our defeat is found in the deception of looking upon things with our natural eyes. Our victory, is found in obedient labor to the word of the Lord by the servants of the Lord.
This is Part 2 in the series, "Avoiding Offense". We can't keep from offending some people, but we should diligently seek to not be "hurtful" and to not allow others to hurt us. The Bible teaches us that when we "sin against"/offend a brother we also sin against Christ! It teaches us to forgive and to love. Today everyone seems to be offended, or offensive. As Christians, we are called to more. The Lord wants us to avoid offense, and being personally offensive as much as is possible. In the message "Spiritual Dumpster Diving", Pastor Jerry looks at how it seems many Christians are seemingly Dumpster Diving today...rather than sitting at the table spread for the Children of God. Many of us are living so far below our privileges, that it's as though we are even scavenging for spiritual food. In the natural, what is called dumpster diving is a huge thing. In much of the world, the under-privileged scavenge for food in dumps, dumpsters, or anywhere they might find food. In the Spiritual, people seem to be doing the very same thing. Why are so many Christians settling for scraps, when we are heirs. Many it seems are getting the wrong spiritual foods, because we are eating from the wrong place. We endanger endangering our spiritual well-being, for a few scraps. We don't need to be in the dumpster. We are joint-heirs with Jesus Christ and now have a seat at the table with Him!
In the message "A Sincere Faith", Pastor Jerry looks at how our faith in Jesus Christ needs to be genuine and not falsified or fake. Today, many people say they have faith but really what they have is doubt. It is truly something Christians deal with every day. But we don't have to be that way. God has so much He wants us to have and do. We need to believe that God will truly take care of us. Genuine faith is visible, transferable, unashamed, it stirs up the gifts and it partakes of the afflictions of the Gospel. How is your faith representing itself?... Is is unfeigned?... Is it genuine? Is it sincere? IF SO... The World will see it! I urge you STIR IT UP!!! If not... Sincere Faith can be placed in you, through the Rhema word of God... Have you heard Him today? If so, don't hesitate to respond!
There are at least Seven people types that God seems to be drawn to more than others…God is actively searching for people in certain types of situations... And that these ‘types’ are special to God. His Word makes it clear! He searches for those who are lost, broken-hearted, seeking Him, have a heart after Him, true worshipers, men/women of faithfulness and those who will stand in the gap(Intercessors). Are you in anyone of these groups? Do you want God seeking you? Please join me in getting closer to God and letting Him speak to us through His Word and Holy Spirit!
In the message "What's In A Namaan?, Minister Bill Jacquin looks at the story of Namaan in 2 Kings chapter 5 and how it applies to us Christians today. Namaan was a Syrian captain who was a great and honorable man at this time. He was very well liked and had many good things going for him. But he was a leper. This disease had caused him to be separated from people. There came along a young Hebrew maid who had been captured by the Syrians. By this young Hebrew slave of his wife, Naaman's attention was directed to the prophet of Israel, as the person who would remove his leprosy. There isn't a name given to this young lady. But that didn't stop her from wanting to see her master be healed. She didn't let her current situation or her past keep her from serving her master. The same can be said for Christians today. We need to give all of ourselves to God and let Him direct our paths no matter what has happened or what is going on in our lives today. Once we do that, then He can move in our lives and begin to Bless!
In part seven of the series "What The Spirit Says", Pastor Jerry looks at the church of Laodicea. The city was named for a people that saw themselves as people of Good Judgment, and this carried over into the church... They believed in their own character, they were, I believe, self righteous. The Church of the Laodiceans had no passion for God as ones who really loved Him. Yet they were not like the world who had rejected Him either. They were seemingly on the fence... not fully committed to Christ, not fully rejecting Him. Jesus saw this even more offensive than if they had been cold. That is why He said He would spew them out of His mouth. We as Christians many times find ourselves as the church of Laodicea. We let complacency interfere in our walk with The Lord. He has done so much for us and that's why we should want to give our all for Him. God is here reaching out to us, so let's reach up to Him and win this world for Jesus!
In part six of the series "What The Spirit Says", Jesus is speaking to the church of Philadelphia. The name is known to us today and we find its meaning to be the "city of brotherly love". That meaning was the same back then because as Christians we are to love our brothers and sisters. This area had went through a devastating earthquake and many people were still afraid with all of the aftershocks and tremors. Jesus encouraged them that even when they are weak, they were faithful as they HAD NOT denied the name of the Lord and they had kept His word! The Faithful Church will face persecution, perhaps even from those who call themselves a house of praise (We may fight prideful religious spirits), but the faithful to Christ can not be stopped because the door that is open unto them was opened by Christ himself! NO ONE can shut it!! His authority is the authority that opens and closes doors! The one who holds fast to truth, in his faithfulness and completes his assignment will receive great reward, A place of honor, a crown, an inscription of possession by Jesus Himself! and will be kept from the common temptation of the world!.
In part five of the series "What The Spirit Says", Pastor Jerry looks at the church of Sardis. This church was in bad shape. Sardis wasn't just in compromise or struggling with deception... They were spiritually dead. It seemed to be very lively but for the wrong reasons. Their condition was very reminiscent of the spiritual condition of the Pharisees. Which Jesus spoke out against very strongly. This same condition is also present today. There are many that claim to be this and that for God but still can't hear what His Holy Spirit is saying. Sardis was instructed to return to the TRUTH they have known, to hold fast to it, and REPENT. The church today needs to hear this. Getting back in right relationship with Jesus is what He is trying to tell the Christians. Once that happens then we can hear The Lord and go win this world for Him!
In Part 4 of the series : What The Spirit Says...", Pastor Jerry looks at the church of Thyatira and how it relates to the church of today. The church of Thyatira did many things well and helped out in the community greatly. But they had also allowed an unholy spirit of Jezebel into the church. Jesus reproves the Church at Thyatira because they had suffered (allowed) the woman Jezebel to teach and seduce true servants of God to take part in unholy acts. Reminiscent of the reason for the rebuke of Pergamos, authority given by Christ, over false teaching and adherence to false doctrine, HAD NOT been demonstrated. These teachings, this leaven, had been allowed to remain and even flourish within the church! ...And it had seduced, the church (or led it into deception). The Church has been given authority... but it was ALLOWING things that were clearly offensive to God. The same thing is happening in the church of today. With much prayer and study, I think there is considerable evidence that the Spirit of the Lord was warning the church (and pastor) that there are counterfeits. We must not hold onto these non-truths but stand strongly and boldly to the truth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In Part Three of the series "What The Spirit Says", Pastor Jerry Looks at the church of Pergamos and what Jesus was telling them. The name Pergamos is said to mean "height, exalted or elevation". I think it's significant that Satan is called the Prince of the Power of the Air and throughout history, false gods and demons have been worshiped in the 'high places". The city of Pergamos was a pagan stronghold, that sat upon the mountain top in Asia Minor. AND... the church was in compromise. That same thing is going in the church of today. The church has allowed much compromise into it's doors. We have let sin creep in and not stood against it. Sin has caused many Christians to get away from what God is wanting to do. I believe the Spirit is saying, we cannot tolerate, we cannot affirm sin. NO MATTER the stronghold of the age we live in, we MUST speak against ungodliness in the church and address any in our own lives, or the LORD himself will fight against those in wrong doctrine, with the sword of His mouth. NO COMPROMISE.
In part two of the series "What The Spirit Says", Pastor Jerry looks at the church of Smyrna in Revelation 2:8-11. This is the second church that Jesus addressed in his teachings in this chapter of Revelation. The name Smyrna is from the root word "myrrh". Myrrh is an aromatic resin from certain trees that is used in perfume, and incense because of it's pleasant smell. It was also used in embalming, and was a gift given to Jesus by the wisemen... likely signifying that His death was a part of His destiny. But death couldn't hold him. That is what Jesus was saying to Smyrna. He knew they would be persecuted for His Name. But Jesus encouraged them to persevere and continue to pursue Him. And if they did, their reward would be Eternity with Him. This applies to us today. No matter how bad it seems or gets, hold on to Jesus and he will give you the victory!
"What The Spirit Says" is part one in a series about Revelation chapters 1-3. In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at the church of Ephesus and how it relates to the church of today. What is the church of today lacking that the church in Biblical times did so well? Jesus directly points out what is at the heart of the issue. And that is the lost of our first love, Jesus Christ. No matter how many good messages we preach or how many people we serve, if we forget about Him it means nothing. If we as the church would go back to our first love, Jesus, then we can begin to have an impact on this world like He wants us to do. Please join me as we pursue our Savior with everything we have.
In the message "The Wall Will Fall", Minister Brian Hall looks at the story of Joshua and Jericho. In life today, we face many strong fortresses in our lives. They could be physical, financial or even spiritual having large walls that seem insurmountable. But like Joshua, we need to be able to hear from God. If we have a relationship with Him, then we know His voice. If Joshua didn't know The Lord, then he would not have been able to hear the specific instructions. God has already won the battle for us. All we need to do is listen to Him and the victory will be on it's way!
In this message, Minister Bill Jacquin looks at Psalm 3 and what we can learn from it. In this chapter of the book of Psalms, David is fleeing his son Absalom. David soon realizes that there are many people after him. But even in this dire situation, David turns to God and begins to give Him praise. David had so much faith in God, that he laid down and fell asleep despite his enemies pursuing him. He felt there was no reason to be afraid. That is the way we should have our faith in God. No matter what we are going through, He will protect us and give us the things we need. So, I encourage you to not be afraid in your situation but rather trust The Lord! He loves you and will be with you always!
In Genesis 28:10-22, there is the story of Jacob's dream of a ladder going to Heaven. At this time in Jacob's life, he had been running from trouble. So, he found this place and decided to rest. He found some stones and made them in a pillow. Some believe that in this day people used rocks as pillows regularly. Sleeping on the hard ground without neck support would be painful. Then Jacob fell asleep and had a dream of a ladder going from the earth up to Heaven. With angels ascending and descending on it. He also saw The Lord above the ladder and realized that He was here in Jacob's midst. We often fail to realize GOD is in a place or situation. I think that sometimes it's because the place seems so ordinary, otherwise. This was just a place... Or so Jacob thought. It was a "certain place" that he had lighted (fell upon). Then Jacob made a pillar, from his pillow. He made a personal memorial, or an altar...from the thing that had given him rest. A seemingly ordinary thing, in a seemingly ordinary place became a meeting point for Jacob and his destiny. Have you stopped and taken notice of God... Heard His promises, committed yourself to His plan, and set up a pillar of remembrance?
It's important that we realize we will face trials... fiery trials even. It's NOT unusual, or a 'strange thing', that Christians will have struggles, difficulties, persecutions, hardships, etc. It's to be expected... it's the norm. Our perspective is often clouded by our situation. It's difficult but we CAN get God's view on our difficulty! The wisdom of man is today warring against the wisdom of God... as it always has. The wisdom of man also desires to exalt mankind, and often to exalt anything that is against the knowledge of God. We have to realize that every hard thing we face has the potential to help strengthen our faith in God, and allow us to grow in Him... or it has the potential to shake our faith and leave us questioning His love. Let me assure you...GOD's love for you is intact. He's trustworthy! This can, and will bring Him glory and you strength if you just get His perspective. Having God's perspective will help you in the fiery trial that you are in right now. Don't just have hope in Him but have faith. Then victory in Christ Jesus will be coming your way.
In the message "Father's Day Presence", Pastor Jerry looks at the story of the prodigal son. This is in Luke 15:11-32. When we look at Luke 15, we usually are talking about the prodigal son, who lived riotously and wasted all he had. Instead let's look at a father who was present. 61% of US children don't have one of the parent's in the home, usually its their father that's missing. In many urban areas, only 1 in 10 children has a father present. Sad thing is, stats show further that even many fathers who are physically present are emotionally absent. (If you are a father who is present, let me applaud you!) The Father in Luke 15 was physically and emotionally present... even when his sons were grown to young adulthood. This Father is clearly representative of God, our Heavenly Father... AND this father clearly sets a great example for us to follow. I'm thankful for a great earthly father and very blessed, but even more...I'm blessed by my relationship with my Heavenly Father: He's always present.
In the message "A Servant's Heart", Minister Brian Hall discusses what should be at the very foundation of our walk with God. That is to have the heart of a servant. Many times in our lives we become very selfish with Him. it becomes about the status,title or recognition in what we are doing. This includes our ministry. Jesus gave us a great example to follow while He was on this earth. He was the ultimate servant. If we could just get a hold of that same thing, our lives would make such an impact on others. Being a servant is something we are called to be. It starts out by giving of ourselves to Him. Then, God can begin to direct us in His ways. Be encouraged today, that no matter what is going on right now in your life or what you have done in the past, God sees the greatness in you. Let today be a new day that you will begin to be the servant God intended you to be!
In the message "The Oath", Pastor Jerry looks at the Jewish festival of Shavuot and how it relates to The Christian faith. Shavuot is the second of the three main feasts/festivals of Judaism, and this Jewish Holiday coincides with the Christian Holiday Pentecost. They were originally on the same day... (Our calendars often misrepresent the connection, due to the Leap Years of the Jewish and Gregorian Calendars). Amazingly, but not coincidentally, the giving of the Holy Spirit came on the anniversary of the giving of the Law. Remember the Bible tells us the Law was weak through the flesh... But Jesus condemned sin in the flesh ...and we're told that the righteousness of the Law can be fulfilled in US who walk NOT AFTER THE FLESH, but after the Spirit (Holy Spirit). I want to consider how the devotion of the Jewish people in recommitting themselves anew each year, by oath to the Law of God in the Jewish culture, should pale in comparison to our GREATER gift in Christ Jesus, with the promise of God to give us His Holy Spirit to dwell in us. Jesus, on our behalf, made a covenant with the Father. When we believe ON the work of Christ, we are placing our trust in His sufficient work on Calvary!
As Christians we are to love God with all of our heart, mind, body and soul. This should be first before anything else in our life. We are instructed next to love others. We seem to get this out of order and want to love ourselves first. This type of behavior can cause problems in our walk with Him. It blocks the many blessings God has for us. No matter what is going on in our lives, we need to keep our First Love. That is the love for our Savior Jesus Christ. If we focus more on our family, ministry, work or anything else than Him, we are being selfish. He gave all for you and me. And Jesus continues to love us even when we put others/things ahead of Him. You have probably heard of the saying "I take care of #1", implying that you take of yourself before anyone else. With that kind of attitude, it will keep you from having a strong relationship with God. Let's stop being self-centered and get back to loving and living the way He instructed us to. Let's first love our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Then let's love others and show them the Love of Jesus. May God continue to encourage & bless you in your walk with Him!
In the message "Go In Your Strength", Pastor Jerry looks at the story of Gideon and how it applies to us today. Gideon's life is much like ours in that we as humans have many weaknesses. We tend to focus on those instead what is a strength in our life. Gideon's weaknesses were that he had a victim mentality, he was defiant, a lack of self-confidence and he had a fear of man's opinion. Those do sound like things that we as Christians have issues with. Even so, we don't have to allow those things define our walk with God. Each one of us may have weaknesses but we also have strengths. Gideon had them also. He was humble, sensitive to the Spirit of God, he had faith in God and was very obedient. God will use your strengths, in spite of your weaknesses, to accomplish His purpose in your generation. As a matter of fact, God will even forge your very weaknesses into strengths. Gideon submitted to the will of God, the call of God, the voice of God... and became just what God had seen him as, in the first place: A mighty Man of Valor. Will you submit to Him?
In the message "One Size Fits All", Sister Tracy Laudermilk discusses why being a Godly mother is so important. Many times, we as mothers, try to compare our lives with other mothers. We think we have to be perfect and do things a certain way. But you were created to be unique the way God intended. What is really need to do is to follow God and His Word. This includes raising our children in the ways of Him. They should see Jesus in us and feel our love. According to the His Word this is what we are supposed to do. The Bible is filled with many great things for us to learn. Let's pursue God and be the best mothers He made us to be!
In the message "Love", Pastor Jerry looks at how important love is in our relationship with Jesus Christ. We should incorporate love in everything we do. It should be a major component of our ministry. How do Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, depend on love? Love is foundational... in our Christian life EVERYTHING depends on Love. Our society is confused on what love is... so some confusion has come into the church. Love is what God is, but also our response to Him, for who He is. Love is the glue that binds the Body (Church) together. Love, His true love, is what God wants us to reveal to the Lost. Our love can grow... None of us here has developed our to perfect completion, but He has... ALLOW HIS LOVE to be expressed through you.
In the message "Are We Happy In The Outer Court?", Pastor Jerry looks at the holy temple and the parts that make it up. There is the outer court, the inner court and the Holy of Holies. These parts have significant meaning as to where our walk with The Lord is at. We enter His Outer Courts with thanksgiving. This is a key to entering into His Presence. We enter His Inner Court with worship. This is only accomplished by worshipers. Anyone can be thankful but only those who love can worship. It requires more to get into the inner court. Then there is the Holy of Holies. This can only be accessed by Faith in Jesus, our High Priest. This gives us access to the throne of God's Grace! & Grace gives us access to Mercy! Let's get into the Holy of Holies and truly let The Lord take control of our lives.
In the message "I met three very unique people... James, Mohamed, and the Buddhist", Pastor Jerry talks about his recent trip to Chicago and how God moved. He met three very unique people... James, Mohamed, and the Buddhist. The Lord spoke through each one of these encounters. James was low on hope and looking for it. Many of us, like James, although we know the Lord or have at least in the past known Him intimately, find ourselves without hope (or low on hope) because life has thrown us a curve... or lots of curves... We want more, but all we seem to see is the hopelessness that presents (and re-presents) itself to us daily. Mohamed had no happiness. Many of us, like Mohamed, have allowed the enemy to steal our joy, even though we know the giver of Joy. The Buddhist was 'pedaling' a medallion that supposedly brought life-long peace, when true peace, eternal peace with God, has already been given through Jesus Christ. Like him, we look for peace in things and we even tell others how peaceful these things cam make us... But it's a facade!!! ONLY the Prince of Peace can give you life-long peace... and how much more we need Him for eternal peace! It's the Spirit of God dwelling in us, God's presence in our lives, that brings us to the Love, Happiness/Joy, Peace, that we are ALL looking for. The Spirit of God dwelling in us, because we are born again through faith in the WORK of Jesus Christ.
In the message "Which Jesus?", Pastor Jerry looks at the crucifixion in a different but powerful way. Did you know that it seems that Barabbas too was named Jesus? We miss that in the KJV, but early manuscripts have the name "Jesus Barabbas", as do many of the literal translations. The New Cambrige Bible Dictionary says that, "Early church father Origen Adam-ant-ius (3rd Century) was troubled by the fact that his copies of the gospels gave Barabbas' name as "Jesus Barabbas" and declared that since it was impossible he could have had such a holy name, "Jesus" must have been added to Barabbas' name by a heretic. Yet with this understanding, we gain a picture of the crucifixion that we miss otherwise. Pilate asked the Jews if they wanted him to release Jesus Barabbas or Jesus The Christ. They chose Barabbas. Barabbas means "Son of the Father" and Christ means "Anointed One". Both names carried the promise of salvation... (But there was and is only one Savior!) Both titles carried the a claim of authority... (But only one walked 'in' God given authority). Now my question to you... Is Which Jesus do YOU Choose?Have you chosen the Jesus Christ the only begotten son of the Living God as your messiah?
In keeping with our Identity in Christ...Nearly everything we are called to, as Christians, can and should be lived out in three basic actions: Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship. We are worshipers. We are messengers. We are learners/teachers. We all will take part in all these areas, but I think you are called to be specialized in one area. Once you realize your specific identity, you will know your primary call. The Church (We the Christian Collective) Is Like A Three Legged Stool...It of course, sits on the foundation of Jesus Christ - "The Word", yet...It's upheld by three legs of action and purpose... It creates, if you will, the 'seat' of Christ in the world.Worship is offering ALL to Him, not in a song but in a lifestyle... It's how we respond to God. Discipleship is Learning and Teaching the ways of Christ, His doctrine, and method... It's in effect the proper way to behave toward one another. It's a major part missing in the church today. We should be leading others in the ways of Jesus and making disciples out of them. Discipleship is the key to the continuation of the true message of Christ and the perpetuation of the faith. Evangelism is calling all Men (mankind) unto Repentance... Preaching Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. We are to go out into the world and proclaim His Good News. It is the life's blood of church growth. Each of these three components have scriptural urgency, and without them a ministry is incomplete and operating in disobedience. Once you know who you are in Christ, you will find your niche in one or more of these fields. Please join me in doing this to our wonderful and precious Savior Jesus Christ!

In the message "Identity", Pastor Jerry sets the stage for the upcoming series "Three Major Components of A Biblical Christian Ministry". Before we as Christians can begin to do anything for God, we need to know what our identity is. Do we identify with Jesus Christ or something else? We should identify ourselves with Jesus and not just a denomination. The ministry that we are to do is reliant on our relationship with Him and not man. That requires us to get in His Word, be in prayer and treat others with love. The world should see something different in us. Hopefully that difference is Jesus Christ. In the message "Co-Mission", Pastor Jerry discusses that our mission from God is to make disciples and not converts. The text for this message is Matthew 28:18-20. This passage of scripture is commonly called the Great Commission... Here, Jesus told His church to "go make disciples", not converts. He told them by what authority to do this. He told them to immerse the converts in the name (authority) of (also see Mark 16:17, Acts 2:38), and He told them to teach the new believers ALL that He had taught them. I want to point out Jesus NEVER said to SIMPLY make converts... He said make disciples. Converts to Christianity can just as easily convert to something else. Converting requires no new birth, no real relationship. Disciples though, are in relationship. They are deeply committed. They will follow Christ because they are disciplined to do so. So, are you a modern convert... or a true Disciple? If we are disciples... we are co-missioned to complete the work of Jesus.
In the message "To Live Is Christ", Pastor Jerry looks at how most Christians today consider themselves to have already apprehended. Conversely, the Apostle Paul did not consider this to be the case. He pressed, toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God, through Christ Jesus. He urged all who are mature in Christ, to have the same attitude that he had... Not considering himself to have made it. Most of us honestly live our lives as if we have made it. We have believed on Jesus as Savior, therefore we just await his return. But we are not told to watch while sitting idle. There are two ways I can live as a Christian, only two. I can live for Christ ...or I can live for self. If Jesus isn't the center of your life, then you are. If Jesus isn't the center of the Church, then we are. And while we are at the center of God's focus in the world, we cannot remain the center of our own focus. To live is Christ!
In the message "The Power of Right Relationships Part Two", Pastor Jerry looks at how a relationship will either bring a blessing or a burden. So, why not have those relationships bring blessings. IF YOU ARE IN GOD'S FAVOR... God's favor upon your life is transferable to your family... Did you know that? Because of you are Holy through Christ, mercy rests upon you... and it can and does at times become a blessing to those around you. In other words, you can be BLESSED ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER, or others can be BLESSED ON YOUR BEHALF! Relationships play a huge part in determining our future, and even our future blessings. Right relationship bring blessing! "Strengthen your connection with the blessed... and you will strengthen your connection with the blessing."
In the message "The Power of Relationships Part One", Pastor Jerry looks at the kind of relationships we have and if they are of God. Relationships are more powerful than you might think. All of the 10 Commandments were about relationships. The first six were about our relationship with Him. The last four were about relationships with others. God takes right relationship serious. The Scripture in 2 Cor. 6:14 exhorts us to not 'yoke' ourselves with unbelievers, or not to enter into close - binding relationships with them. That can be anything as simple as an enduring friendship. It can be a business deal. It can be marriage. It could be ANY CLOSE AND BINDING relationship... that latches us to a person who has a different world view. Right relationship bring blessing! Wrong relationship brings burden... Trouble. I urge you... Take your relationships seriously.

He can see things that are going wrong in our lives. He gives us warnings so that we can stop and turn back to Him. God loves us so very much and wants us to be Blessed. Let's heed the 'Check Engine' warnings that are being shown to us!

In the message "Waiting In His Presence", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians are not just to wait on The Lord but wait on Him in His Presence. This waiting requires trust in The Lord, strength of character and to have an attentive expectancy. It also requires us to surrender all to God. By surrendering, we are suggesting that we aren't fully capable or are in control. In other words, we have surrendered all to Him. We've missed intimacy with God by rushing on to do other things. I encourage you... Slow down! WAIT on the Lord! They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength! Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for Him...
In the message "Expecting", Minister Brian Hall looks at the story of David and Goliath. David went before the giant "expecting" The Lord would deliver him. He declared this in I Samuel 17:45-47. Just as Daniel trusted The Lord, we are to have the same great faith in Him today. You may be facing a huge giant or giants right now. People might be telling you that there is no hope or that you will never succeed. David had his own family and Saul telling him that he wasn't able to defeat the giant. David chose not to listen to man's expectations but rather God's. That is what we need to do if we want victory in our trial. God has placed something great inside you that he wants to be brought out. Make this a new year to go expecting great things of God in your life and that you will try to meet His expectations. Then, that great thing inside you will be birthed and God will begin to bless you greatly!
In the message "The Purpose of Power", Pastor Jerry looks at Acts 1:8 where it says "Ye shall receive power, after The Holy Ghost is come upon you...". That word power is Dunames or Dynamis. Which is power, strength, or ability... It's the root for the word Dynamo, and Dynamite... (It's an inherent power... a built-in power, or inherited power... A power give by our Heavenly Father through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.) You could say it's the empowerment to accomplish a purpose... for which you were made! I believe each of us has a purpose, and I believe God gives each of us the power to accomplish whatever our purpose is. As a Christian, your purpose is tied to God's bigger plan... IT IS BIGGER THAN YOU. Once we find our purpose, He empowers us to complete it. No one is ever given power or authority (Dynamis) so they can just do nothing with it. The purpose of the power... is to make you fruitful in the Kingdom. We are the branches and Jesus Christ is the vine. As long as we are connected to Him, we will bear fruit. The Purpose of Power is to enable us to do that thing we were created for! That might be anything, but whatever it is... It will honor God and point others to Him.
In the message "The Power of Purpose", Pastor Jerry encourages Christians to find God's purpose in our lives. Jesus stated that His purpose was "To bear witness to the Truth". There's tremendous power in purpose. What if Christians knew what their purpose was and focused on it like Jesus did? Let me ask it this way... "What if each of us knew our purpose in life, and lived up to our full potential in that purpose?" What if we each knew our purpose, and accomplished it before we were finished in this life... Just like Jesus did?
Find YOUR Purpose in 2017!! Don't put it off another year... no even another day!
People sometimes use the term “The Spirit of Christmas” to refer to the feeling or atmosphere that surrounds the holidays. (Ex. “In the Spirit of Christmas, our boss at work decided to allowed everyone to leave an hour early… with pay!”) But the true Spirit of Christmas can only be found in Jesus Christ. When you look at the account of the Story of Jesus in Luke chapter 2, you don't find stress, anxiety, anger (Traffic or Shopping Rage), depression/ oneliness, materialism/overspending or competition. But what you do see is Hope, Joy, Promise of Salvation, Worship toward God and Peace to those in whom God is pleased. These qualities found in the announcement of the angels at the birth of Jesus SHOULD be the prevalent atmosphere of the day… But we have allowed so many things to distract us from the Joy which is found in the coming of Jesus. Let’s go to JESUS…Jesus is the Spirit of Christmas and without Him, we will never find peace.
In the message "JOY", Pastor Jerry wants to present you with an observation of a general truth (an aphorism): "The Lord's presence is the basis of all real joy." Or we could say..."Without Jesus there is no REAL Joy." Many would argue against that point... but all other forms of happiness are fleeting... Joy is found in the person of Jesus Christ! And Joy in Christ is eternal, because He is eternal. Our strength as Followers of Christ is FUELED by our Joy in Him! How do we live in the JOY that comes from Jesus? We must continue IN HIS LOVE...If we keep His commandments, He said we abide in his love. Does it all depend on you? No, certainly not... HIS promises are true, even if you don't walk in them. BUT as you walk in them, you WILL experience HIM in a greater way.... and JOY will be yours in Him.
"Live The Dream" is the last message in the three part series titled "The Dream". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at some of those things that can cause you not to live out your calling from God. Our mind is a battlefield. The enemy wages war there because he knows we are weak when it comes to our thoughts. Every ungodly thought must be taken captive.... if not, those ungodly thoughts will hold you captive. We all struggle with thoughts. YET, our mind MUST be brought into subjection to God's will or it will lead us astray. Unforgiveness is another thing that will keep you from your calling. Forgiveness must be at the forefront of your character... or unforgiveness will consume you …and ultimately destroy you. If you won't forgive… the bitterness will corrupt you and WILL destroy your hopes of fulfilling your dream. Our pride is something that can also interrupt or stop our connection with God. Pride MUST be absent from your heart to operate in the new office God has ordained for you. The God-Given Dream will take humility because ONLY God can exalt you to the office of your God-given Dream. No one can walk in your God-given Dream for you… Step into it today and submit to God’s will above your own… or if you have already accepted it.. WALK in it.
"Live The Dream" is the second message in the series titled "The Dream". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at a how a Christian steps into their calling or God given potential. We all face adversity when following the Will of God in our lives. This is what happened to Joseph when God revealed to him in a dream of what his stature in Egypt would be. His own family even came against him. But that didn't stop Joseph. He lived out God's calling on his life. In order for us to know what God wants for our lives we have to change our current perspective of what we are going through. We do that by securing our final destination in God. "Dream The Dream" is part one in the series "Dream". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at the story of Joseph and he was used by God in his new position to save his family from a drought and to ultimately preserve what would later become the nation of Israel. Beyond what we may talk about today, the story of Joseph…teaches that God controls the events of human history and is able to make the future known. It also teaches that despite the perceived circumstances, God is always with his people to bless them. The story helps us to understand that God rules over sinful human behavior to achieve His great plan for the world, and more importantly His people. And it helps us to understand that God's plans bring forgiveness, and restored relationships. There are God given dreams, and there are selfish ambitions. The God-Given Dreams (visions) give our lives purpose. God knows your future, and He will cause the hardest situations to propel you toward the fulfillment of your dream in HIM… (If you’ll only be faithful to His cause and to His call.)
In the message "What Spirit Is Motivating You?", Pastor Jerry looks at how Christians are to judge. We all judge... We have to. We are even supposed to... But we are only supposed to make righteous judgments... and that's difficult. What spirit is motivating your judgment? Is your judgment of the flesh, or from the Spirit of God? Sometimes it's actually difficult to know the difference. Spiritual maturity plays a huge part in distinguishing between our passions, and God's plan. We NEED the breath (Spirit) of God in the Church... WE NEED KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WORD, AND We need discernment that only comes from that Holy Spirit.
In the message, "The Lord Reigns: An Exposition of Psalm 2", Minister Bill Jacquin looks at Psalms 2 and how it relates to us today. We wonder why our nation is in turmoil and how is it going to be changed. Well, the only answer is through Jesus Christ our Lord. It seems that good thing are bad and bad things are good and acceptable. As Christians, we are not to be of this world and the things it beholds. We are to stand for Jesus and show His Love to all! The nations may come against Our Lord, but He Still Reigns! Hallelujah!
In the message "Growing Up In Christ", Minister Brian Hall looks at the similarities between growing up in the flesh and growing in The Spirit. When we come into this world, we were born a child. As a child, we were innocent, very needy and reliable on our parents. The greatest attribute of a child is their unconditional love for their mother and father. As we grow, we become more mature and begin to acquire characteristics and develop friendships. These 2 things will have very much to do with what kind of an adult we will become. The next level of growing is becoming an adolescent. As a youth our hunger for food increases and our bodies begin to develop. Our friends will most likely change and we begin to become independent of our parents. Then we become an adult. At this point in life, we have developed characteristics and skills that we learned from growing up. Eventually, we find a mate and begin to start our own family. In our spiritual growth, we have the same 3 stages in life. We begin as a child, become an adolescent and eventually grow into an adult. This is the way God intended it to be. But many of us don't ever get to being an adult in Christ. We get stuck being a child, never having a desire to grow. Or being a youth, where we think we know it all. We become an adult in Christ when we have the love of a child and the hunger of a young person. We begin to disciple others and showing them the ways of Christ. When we do this, God can begin to move in our lives and we can win this world for Him!
"While The Seed Is Still In The Barn" is the last message in the five part series titled "The Seed". In this message, Pastor Jerry wants to tell you of a promised blessing for obedience. In the time between the harvest and planting times, God can do some of His greatest work. Here is where God can reveal to us plans for our ministry and lead us in the directions He wants us to go. The substance of a past harvest and potential for future harvest, is waiting for the opportunity to bring forth! Who changes the times of the seasons? God does. The seed has the promise within it, but this blessing that God desires to pour out promises MULTIPICATION even in the off season... and if He declares this blessing over us, we can't help but be fruitful. "The Making of a Great Harvest" is the fourth message in the series "The Seed". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at the parable of the sower in Matt. 13:1-9 & 18-23. The sower is Jesus, but can also represent a preacher or a witness of Christ who sows the Good News of Jesus Christ. The seed in this parable is The Word of God. The types of ground in this parable where the seeds fall represent the hearts of men. A great harvest is a harvest of plenty. We would all like a plenteous harvest in our lives. God does the hard part... He makes the seed grow! God IS expecting a Harvest... and He is expecting it to manifest in your life! He is sowing intentionally into you! So how do we prepare? "While You Were Sleeping" is the 3rd message in the series titled "The Seed". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how being spiritually asleep is very dangerous to us as Christians. Spiritual slumber is dangerous! Many Christians are even asleep now to what's going on around them in the world. We will be awakened by something occasionally, but we just keep hitting the snooze button. The world doesn't stop while we are asleep. As a matter of fact, it hardly even slows down... Neither does our enemy the devil. When we sleep spiritually the ENEMY has the opportunity to to plants bad seed in our fields. Well, it's time to awaken! There’s no time to sleep.There’s no time for pushing the snooze button.
"Let The Seed Die" is part 2 in the series "The Seed". In this message Pastor Jerry looks at how a seed must die in order to produce more of it's own kind. That Seed for Christians was Jesus Christ. He had to die to be resurrected, so that we who die might also be resurrected. Jesus Christ died the death of a mortal, and rose in the flesh to immortality! When we plant a seed of faith... WE MUST ALLOW it to die. When our faith is planted it sometimes seems so hopeless! What we planted seems to be under attack... We might even worry that the breaking of our faith might destroy it, and nothing new will be produced. But the power of the seed is the life programmed inside that has to have that breaking to emerge! And the power of faith is in the Word of God, and the trial of our faith is precious, more precious than gold! Don't lose your faith, but rather trust that your faith is going to produce it's programmed harvest! Allow the water of the Word to do it's work! Understand that the time you've waited wasn't a denial, but preparation!! If the seed doesn't die, it cannot resurrect. If it doesn't resurrect, it cannot multiply. You have to let it die... Plant it in the soil of hope and let God have it! Take your hands off. Let it take you through all the stages of waiting... but expect! Plant your seed of faith in the soil of hope in God, and just wait on it!
"Everything Starts With A Seed" is part one of the series "The Seed". In this message Pastor Jerry looks at how all things in life including our relationship with God began with a seed. The seed is the vehicle that carries the legacy of the ancestor, and the programming of the fundamental building blocks for the potential descendant. To better understand faith, I believe we need to better understand the seed. That is what Jesus said, "IF YOU HAVE FAITH ...AS A MUSTARD SEED… Nothing will be impossible for you". The seed contains all that is needed to produce a future harvest... once it is sowed. Within the seed is the (DNA sequence) or the programming to reproduce after its kind. BUT IT MUST BE PLANTED! You can claim faith all day long, but if you don’t plant that seed you will NEVER have a harvest. The promises sits waiting for faith activation, the planting of the seed. "The seed of faith is the bridge from yesterday's miracles from God, to tomorrow's miracle." When we believe the Word, and act accordingly, only then do we take hold of His promise!! You’re planting something… Let your seeds be of FAITH, and full of God’s Word so that your harvest will be the goodness of God!
In the message "Disentangled", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians are separated from the people of the world. Who caused this separation? Jesus Christ did. When Jesus came, He 'disentangled' the children of God from the children of Satan. He delivered us from the power of darkness, and empowered us to live in His Light! We often associate a detangler with hair. A detangler somehow has the ability to take hair that is a matted mess, straighten it up, and free it to be beautiful. I want you to know that Jesus Christ somehow has the ability to take a life that is a matted mess, straighten it up, and free it to be beautiful! Many today believe that we will always struggle with whatever sin, or addiction, we are prone to. They would say "You can't change" or "You can't be free". Well I'm here to tell you that Yes you can change and Yes you can be free. And that is through our Lord Jesus Christ. He rescued us! He purchased us! He forgave us! He unburdened us! He delivered us!
Jesus seemed to say, "Oh Ye of Little Faith" quite often to His disciples. Sometimes it sounded like a rebuke, perhaps it was, but in each case it was always to challenge them to believe for more!! Sometimes we need a stern word to shock us into reality. In this message Pastor Jerry looks at the faith that we Christians so often seem to struggle with. Most of us simply have too little faith! We serve an all powerful God, and He has made us promises. Why do we doubt and fear? We are just like those disciples, people of little faith. People of little faith, think "How can I?"... People of great faith think "How will God?" WHAT IF WE TRUSTED GOD just a little more... instead of worrying about how we can? Even if your faith is small, exercise that little faith you have and it will grow! Use that little faith! Step out and believe Him!
In the message "Be Encouraged", Minister Brian Hall looks at how as Christians we are to be encouraged by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This world is a very dark place and is full of discouragement. Every where we turn there people and things that come against us. You just can't seem to get anywhere in this life. Well Jesus loves you no matter where you are at or what you have done. He wants to give you blessings and many other things of Him. He wants you to be encouraged in knowing there is a hope. All it takes is surrendering those things that are keeping you down. Once you do that He will take them off of your shoulders and replace them with love and joy. In the message "A 911 Call To The Temple", Minister Bill Jacquin looks at the story of Jesus in the temple. We are the temple and Jesus Christ resides in us. The temple should be kept holy and clean of things that come between you and The Lord. As Jesus knocked over the tables in the temple, you will need to remove those things that aren't of Him. Stay in His Word, pray fervently and live your life for Jesus!
We all know that these are dark times. Our society is confused and angry. Those in the church seem to be confused as well, and often quite stressed and burdened, and sometimes easily offended. The darkness around us sometimes brings a great heaviness upon us. Yet I want to present to you with a truth that will bring you hope... "God Speaks in the Darkness." Don't fear the dark times. Don't allow the cares of this life to overwhelm you. Allow this to be the time that you go into the secret place of God, into the 'dense darkness' that is said to conceal Him, and hear His secrets!
In the message "Clash of Kingdoms", Pastor Jerry discusses why Jesus came to divide the spiritual kingdoms on earth. We were taught that God adds and multiplies, but Satan subtracts and divides! Right?... And now you say that Jesus said He came to bring division. This is true God adds and multiplies, Yet Jesus came to divide the spoils of the Kingdom of Darkness! Jesus came to disentangle the children or God, from the Children of Satan. Your faith is under attack. Stay the course Christian, hold to the unchanging truth of God's Word and spread the good news all the more!! We don't have too much longer to labor. Jesus is coming again, just as he promised. (Did you ever doubt this time would come? Jesus told us it would.) Jesus gave us the perspective of God, when he took us from the kingdom of darkness. We may not agree with each other on every little thing, but we can agree on Jesus Christ and Him crucified!! There is a war... going on around us. Don't fail to fight, but don't fight each other!
In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how we are to ask things of God and to get rid of anything that could be hindering them from being answered. It could be that we often fail to ask or we fail to seek Him. Perhaps, we are too impatient to knock. We often see little response from God because we haven't offered him any faith to respond to. Our trust in Him has to be unwavering, in the good times and bad. Another reason that we see no response from God is because we are unequally yoked with those who are in opposition to His Word. Being unequally yoked with the wicked will rob you of your spiritual authority... And leave you spiritually impotent. We should be fearful of God and not man. Being fearful of Man will cause your service to God to be shrouded in secrecy. These things will diminish your power in the Spirit and leave you looking for a lesser substitute in the natural. Grass grows where it has enough moisture... There is enough moisture where it rains. God WILL send the rain, if we ask. If we will stop looking for grass, and start praying for rain... We will see grass spring us all around us. FRUIT is PROMISED!
In the message "Things That Remain...Unshakable", Pastor Jerry looks at the things that are in our lives and how they should be of God. If those things don't line up with The Word of God, then we don't have a solid foundation to get through the storms when they come. It seems that everything that can be shaken is being shaken now. If you are not on a firm foundation, you had better be building your life, your future, your hope... on Jesus. If you are built on Jesus, you are on a firm foundation that will remain. His Kingdom is Unshakable!
In the message "For Us To Move Forward, Perhaps We Need To Go Back", Pastor Jerry discusses that we need to go back to 'the old Godly way'. To some that might refer to our denominational traditions or not to use technology or to do things in a method seen in Jewish society of the first century Christians. But in reality, none of those apply. So what is it? Well, it simply means to be obedient to the will of God. Nothing else works. What is the primary way that we know the will of God? The Word of God. What is the only way that leads to God? That is JESUS CHRIST! John 14:6 says "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. As we celebrate the 4th of July, we should remember that in declaring our independence from Great Britain, we ALSO declared our dependence on God. In this message Pastor Jerry looks at how America has fallen away from God and what it is going to take to get back to Him. We are past the tipping point in America and most of the church is still asleep. Evil is being celebrated in the streets and in the media, as though it were good. There is no help for America from the White House. There's no help for America in the Senate or the House of Representatives.The only help for America is in God, in His House, and in our prayer closets. Church YOU are God's representatives in the Earth and if there is to be a revival of Judeo-Christian values, it depends on you. There is a choice to be made in this nation... We WILL experience the judgment of God, or we WILL experience revival.
In the message "God Meant It For Good", Pastor Jerry looks at the story of Joseph and how the struggles he went through ended up being for his Spiritual well being. We often think that when we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior that there wouldn't be any more difficulties. We go through intense struggles, sickness, depression, and many many other difficulties. These ARE usually NOT things that are sent by God, yet they are allowed by God. How can this be working for my good? Hardships, difficulties, & trials are experienced because of the weakness of our flesh. Sometimes we bring them on ourselves by our choices. They are sometimes brought into our lives by Satan with the intent of destroying us, or at the least destroying our faith, yet they are used by God to mature us, position us, and bless us! When we are in our difficulty we can't see the good that can come from it! It seems impossible that God could make this hard thing, a good thing... But that is His expertise. God specializes in the miraculous! When we are in our darkest times, we ask, "Where is God??" Rest assured He is right there with you and will give you everything needed to come out victorious.
Happy Father's Day! In the message "Leaving A Godly Legacy", Pastor Jerry discusses what it takes for us to leave a Godly legacy to our children and others close to us. So what does it take? One must first be Godly! An ungodly person cannot leave a Godly legacy. What do you want your family members to remember about you when you are gone? Blaze that trail...perhaps they will follow. You may not be remembered by name in future generations but you can pass on your values, your passion and your love for God. We will make mistakes. Don't worry if you haven't been perfect. Let them know when you have made mistakes so they see it's a process and so they don't get discouraged when they fail. It's OK to admit you were wrong. Being truthful is a great Godly trait to pass on. Dad, you are making a difference! You can, you will, leave a legacy of Godliness for your children!

Even though this message was on Mother's Day, it was for both men and women. As Christians, we need to understand how much God loves us and that we are to show that to this world. It is a great responsibility to show Christ to others and we should be aware of that. This world is a dying place and is in dire need of a Savior. You can be the light of Jesus to someone. If you are unsure of yourself or don't know where you stand with Him, give it all to Jesus and He will take care of it!
In the message "Ready To Give An Answer", Pastor Jerry looks at how as Christians what kind of influence we can have on others when questions are asked. Influence can be positive or negative. Using one's influence to manipulate others for the sake of one's own benefit is self serving, and is akin to witchcraft. While using one's influence to benefit others is often a sign of self sacrifice and concern. God has given YOU influence... AND He will give you opportunity. When this happens, we need to be prepared by getting in to prayer, studying the Word of God and understanding what God has done for us. Inviting people to church is good but telling others what Jesus Christ has done for you is even greater. And that they can have it also. So, BE READY TO GIVE AN ANSWER!
In the message "Oh Precious Lamb", Pastor Jerry looks at the Passover and what it means to Christians. The Passover should be a celebration of grace. This was made possible by the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ. The Passover Lamb, completely blotted out our sins, as if they never happened. Forgive is to release from liability... but the Blood of Jesus didn't just merely "forgive me", it "cleansed me". It completely exonerated me of sin. So, let the celebration of grace begin! We are not just sinners saved by grace, we are a NEW Creation in CHRIST!
In the message "ESCAPE", Minister Brian Hall looks at the story of Paul and Silas and how it relates to us today. Paul and Silas were doing a great work for The Lord when they were confronted by a mob of people and thrown into prison. This can be the same for us. We may not necessarily have a mob of people come against us but it could be a mob of evil spirits. In most cases it will be spirits of some sort. It could be addiction, anger, lust or many other things. These things can weigh you down to the point you feel chained or in bondage. The situation you may find yourself in could be just like the prison that Paul and Silas experienced. The dark jail cell, the loneliness or the pain from being beaten. Yet, they began to give God the praise and thanks in their darkest hour. Then what happened? The foundation of the prison was shaken and they were made free. If you are in that dark time of your life, give God your praise, give Him thanks, worship Him! He will set you free! Jesus Christ laid out the ESCAPE plan when He went to Calvary. He paved a way for us to be free. His desire is that we love and worship Him in every part of our lives. When we do this, we come into a greater relationship with Him and begin to experience the many blessings He has for us. Paul and Silas were committed to praising The Lord no matter their situation. "Empty Vessels" is the last message in the three part series titled "Empty". In this message Pastor Jerry looks at how we must be empty in order for God to fill us with Grace. A vessel filled with wickedness cannot be filled with grace. A vessel that is already full cannot be filled. It must be emptied. Emptying ourselves of the dishonorable things is something we are responsible for. Once this done, God can cleanse us and fill us with His Holy Spirit.
"Running On Empty" is the second message in the series "Empty". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how as Christians we can become empty. This usually happens when we begin to be led by the carnal side instead of The Holy Spirit. It usually comes from going through difficult times. We tend to feel like there isn't anything left in us. Our lives are going to experience trials and difficulties. Just because we are serving The Lord, doesn't mean we aren't going to have tough times or go through things. But our faith and hope needs to reside in Jesus Christ. He will get us through any trial or difficulty. He promised to never leave us nor forsake us. He will fill you back up so you can go on. If you are feeling empty, there is no greater way to get filled back up than to go back to the filling station of Jesus Christ!
"Empty Tombs" is part one of series titled "Empty". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how Jesus overcame death and how His empty tomb relates to us. This story shows the power and love that Jesus had for all of us. He took all of our sins upon Him and took them to the Cross. But to many this story is hard to believe. His Word even declares the first carriers of our faith had doubts. But they sought the truth and Jesus readily revealed Himself and proved their doubts unfounded. He will do the same for us, if we seek Him. The truth is JESUS HAS RISEN! Jesus' tomb was emptied by His victory over death, so through Him we have hope of eternal life!
On Sunday March 20th God moved in a way that caused Pastor Jerry to preach an impromptu message. This was NOT his planned sermon, but came from what God had laid on his heart. In this message "God Is More Than Enough", Pastor Jerry looks at how God is able to fill all our needs even though we don't look for Him to. Many of us are facing great difficulties that seem to weigh heavily on us. These things aren't anything that God can't fix or cure, they are well within His capabilities! However, we often look to other things than Him for answers. Our God is The Almighty (The All Sufficient One) so we need to trust on Him as such. He wants to be there for us. So, let's put our complete trust in God and give Him all of the glory!
"His Church, Our Charge" is the last message in the series "The Church". In this message, Pastor Jerry discusses how the church belongs to Jesus Christ and what our charge is to do His work. As Christians, we are a part of the church but don't have rights to change any mandates of Jesus Christ. We often think we do and that is when we get in trouble. The mandate and message are actually 2 things: evangelism and discipleship. Evangelism is preaching the good news to the unbeliever. Discipleship is teaching the believer to observe what Jesus taught. We use our gifts and talents to accomplish this mission. What can you do to step into your position in the Kingdom of God?
"What The Church Is & Why I Love It" is part two of the series "The Church". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at what the church is, not in just the natural life but more importantly in the spiritual life and also why he loves it. To get this picture, we need look at it from God's perspective. The church is the body of Jesus Christ. That means it is you and me! He is the chief cornerstone that our faith is built on. The church is the entity of God that is ordained to carry on the mission of Jesus Christ. So, please join me in carrying on this mission and win this world for Jesus!
"The Beloved of God" is part one in the series titled "The Church". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at the love of God towards His people. We underestimate God's love for us. The truth is God doesn't just love us, but that He is love. His love for us was preeminent. He loved us before we were ever born. And still, in our difficulties, we wonder if His love for us is true, if it's enduring, if it's really genuine. We do this because we know how unlovable we really are. It;s very difficult for us to see why God would love us. But HIS LOVE is for real! That is very evident because He died for our sins. So that we might have a way to be with Him. We are His Beloved because by grace He chose us!
In the message "What You Don't Know About Prayer", Pastor Jerry looks at how we can find a place where The Lord can reveal Himself to us. We often think prayer is a form of communication with God but it i much more than that. It is 'The Place' where we meet God. This place has it's own atmosphere, it's own rules, it's own treasures. The Secret Place of God is accessed through prayer. the secret place isn't just your closet, it's the place where God reveals His secrets to you. If we don't repent of our sins we can't access the secret place. In this place The Holy Spirit can pray through us. It is a place of Kingdom access! If prayer is a place, then it is a place you should settle!
God has set before each of us today the choice life and good, or death and evil. (Deut. 30:15) Clinging to Him and His truths, mean life and peace to us! So, why don’t we choose to trust Him more easily?
In the message "Choose Life", Pastor Jerry looks at why you should choose life over death, without God. Do you trust Him? Are you faithful to Him? Do you follow His Word? Hopefully, the answer to these questions is YES!
The enemy will try and deceive you in many different ways. If you are struggling with temptation, give it to God. He is the only way to overcome it. He can give you healing in your life where it is needed. There isn't anything that can't be over come by Jesus Christ. Serving God isn't forced on you, but it is a decision that you will have to make. But I can guarantee you it will be the best decision you will ever make. Choosing God is choosing life abundant now, life eternal with HIM!
In the message "A Hunger For God:Why We Fast", Pastor Jerry looks at the Biblical meaning of fasting and praying. How many of us can say we are hungry for more of God? We should all want more of God and not be satisfied. Fasting is a way to realign what's first in your life and to keep God in His rightful place in your heart and life. Fasting allows our hunger for God to be expressed to Him, by suppressing our carnal desires and releasing our spiritual desire for God.We fast because we are more hungry for God than anything else.Our fasting must be accompanied by prayer. When fasting and prayer are done together, great things will begin to happen in your life and others around you. In the message "Justice Granted", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians should claim our entitlement that Jesus paid for when He died on the cross. We have been redeemed by our Savior when He declared "IT IS FINISHED". Our debt was paid in full. The enemy for so long has kept us in fear and doubt that we actually start to not trust or even believe in God. When that happens, we need to wield the sword (The Word of God) in hand and speak it to the enemy. It's ok to remind God of what His Word says. Even more than that, we should have faith in what it says. Then we should stand on that and not waver. Jesus came and died so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. In the message "Satan the Bully", Pastor Jerry discusses how Satan tries to bully us in our lives. He uses many techniques to strike fear and doubt in people. These attacks could be spiritual, mental or even physical. These attacks can leave you feeling all alone and to the point of deep depression. But you don't have to stay there. You don't have to be fearful of the bully. For you have a big brother like no other. And His Name is Jesus Christ! He defeated the bully long ago. Please join me in having faith in our Lord Jesus Christ that He will defeat the bully!
In the message "Jesus: The Hero", Pastor Jerry looks at how the birth of Jesus and how HE became our hero. What does a hero do? They challenge evil, they give us hope and triumph over the enemy. This describes the life of Jesus. Every hero will face a villain. The villain to Jesus was Satan. Satan and his company didn't know God's wisdom concerning Jesus. If they would have known, they wouldn't have nailed Him to the cross. Jesus' secret was hidden as if He was disguised and is still to many today. But an enemy will reveal the hero's power. And our hero Jesus Christ conquered the enemy and made a way to be with Him! Is Jesus your hero?
"Master Builder" is track 8 on the project, "Go Tell The World" by the group Mission. It was recorded in about 1994 but never released to radio. I'm sharing it because listening to it tonight, I thought the subject matter was very appropriate for the Christmas season. In the message "The Gift, Minister Brian Hall discusses the story of the three wise men coming to Jesus when He was a child. Those men were being led by God with the Morning Star. The gifts they brought would have significant meaning. They would foreshadow the life of Jesus. The gold would represent Him being The King of Kings & Lord of Lords. The frankincense would represent Jesus being our Intercessor. The myrrh would foretell the suffering and agony He would suffer on The Cross. Jesus came to us and gave the greatest Gift of all, Himself. So, that we might have a way to be with Him. It is freely given to everyone. But it's a choice that one will have to make. And that is to accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior. He came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Romans 6:23 pretty much sums up what choices we will make. "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!". He was born in a manger but became the greatest Gift to mankind. Will you accept this Gift?
"People Who Push Towards Our Destiny" is the last message in the four part series "Influencers Needed". In this message, Pastor Jerry discusses why we need to have Godly people in our life that will help us get to the place where God wants us to be. We will need others to push us even when we don't want to. This happened to Jesus. Mary, the mother of Jesus, pushed Him to perform His first public miracle even when He resisted. She never gave up. We should follow her example and not give up either. One big reason we need to be pushed is so that we don't get complacent. God intended for us to give all of ourselves and not put a cap on how much we can do for Him. Folks, it is going to take all of us to do God's work. He wants you to join in and to be a part in bringing this world to know Him. Surround yourself with Godly people that have your best interest in mind. "Where Are The Water Walkers?" is part 3 of series titled "Influencers Needed". In this message, Pastor Jerry encourages us to step out in Faith and do what God has set up for us. In these days, it is hard to find those that would be bold and say "God, my whole life is yours, mold me into Your plan". We all face storms in our lives. The question is will we trust The Lord to get us through or get out of the boat if He tells us to? We need to be passionate in our relationship with Him. "Where Are The Intercessors?", is the second message in the series titled "Influencers Needed". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how we can intercede to God on behalf of others. Before we can do this, we have to be able to ascend to the mountain of God. In other words, our lives need to be completely yielded to Him. Mothers and fathers intercede in prayer for their children's safety and well being. It is not just for protection but also to stand in the gap, the space between God and others, bridging the gap. Intercession is about Position, Pursuit and Petition. God is looking for someone in relationship with Him (Position) who will be bold enough to come after Him (Pursuit) and then when they catch Him, they will stand before Him on the behalf of others (Petition). Where are the intercessors?
"Where Are Are All The Fathers" is the first message in a series entitled "Influencers Needed". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at the need for Spiritual fathers. The Apostle Paul said, "Though you have 10,000 teachers, you have not many fathers." we need people in the church who will take the great responsibility of raising up sons and daughters in the faith. So who are your influencers? Who do you influence? What is your influence? We need Spiritual fathers in our lives who will give us good Godly counsel and be truthful. As we grow in our walk with The Lord, we should also become Spiritual fathers and mothers to people we have influence on. The world today is lacking greatly in this area. If we as Christians would bind together in The Name of Jesus and disciple others as He instructed us to do, then our influence on this world is limitless. In the message "The Grand Slam of God's Love", Minister Brian Hall breaks down and discusses the four types of His Love. As Christians, we are supposed to be Christ-like, but that doesn't always happen. By breaking down the Love of God we can see where we might be going astray. In reference to baseball, we have STORGE love up first. This is the type of love that is between family members. We should love our children, parents, brothers and sisters. Remember, He is our Heavenly Father and we are His children. He loves us, so we should love our family members. Up next is PHILEO love. This is close to STORGE but is between friends. We need to have Godly brother and sisters as friends. Someone that we can be accountable to, lean on or get advice. Also, we should be there for our friends. Encourage them when needed. Next up to bat is EROS. This the intimate love we should have with The Lord. He is first in our life. He is the only God we server. EROS is having a one on one relationship with Jesus Christ. He desires that of you. That is how we get to know Him because He already knows us. So now the bases are loaded and the clean up hitter is stepping up to the plate. It is the AGAPE love. This is the one that brings the other three together and knocks them in. This the unconditional love that Jesus has for us. He went to the cross and died for all of our sins. So, that we would have a way to be with Him. He sacrificed His own life for you and me. Do you have the same unconditional love for Him? If you do, then you have hit The Grand Slam of God's Love!
In the message "When God Lays Claim To A People", Pastor Jerry discusses how as Christians, God has claimed us as His own. Can you declare that you are His? There is a peace in knowing who you are in Christ. You are as much His as the children of Israel were during the time of Moses. The pharaoh wanted to take many things from them as in the same way satan wants to take things from you. But you don't have to be intimidated because you belong to God! You are His!
In the message "Always Triumphant", Pastor Jerry looks at how we are successful through Jesus Christ our Lord. So, how do you define success in your life? The world's definition is the size of your bank account, kind of car you drive, how big your house is or what kind of job you have. Those aren't bad things to have but that shouldn't be what defines your success. It should be if we are in the calling God has on our life and have we submitted all to Him. This is the only true way to be successful and triumphant in our lives. We will come up against many obstacles. But there is nothing we can't have victory over as long as we are doing it in Jesus Christ. Through Him we are more than conquerors!
"The Big Ten, Part 3" is the final message in a series about the Ten Commandments. In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at the last 6 Commandments, which have to do with our relationship with others. These six commandments teach us how to relate to others. Ultimately our treatment of other people will also reveal much our relationship with God. If we can do well in keeping our relationship with God first though, these other commandments will fall in line more easily. Remember, in the Big Ten we aren't talking about legalistic obedience for the sake of the Law, were talking about obedience through love for God because of a character change in Christ.
"The Big Ten: Part Two" is the second message in a series about the Ten Commandments. The first four commandments are about our relationship with God. The first two describe how we aren't supposed to put anything above God. When we do, we are making it into an idol. That could be anything from money, cars, family or even our ministry. The third commandment directs us not to take the name of God in vain. This is one that many people tend to overlook. It isn't just talking about when His name is used as curse word. His Name is Holy and should revered. There is power in the name of Jesus! The fourth commandment talks about how we should remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy. We need to set aside a time just for God. So that we can spend time in prayer and in His Word. He loves when we do that. He loves us very much and wants the best for His children. We should count it an honor and blessing to be called a child of The King. I encourage you to do the best you can and pursue Him with everything you have.
"The Big Ten: Part One" is the first message in a series that will break down The Ten Commandments and how they speak to our walk with The Lord. The Ten Commandments are all about relationships. The first four are about our relationship with God. The last six are about our relationship with God and others around us. The Ten Commandments were not a list to keep Israel from having fun but more of a declaration of who we are. God knew we would never perfect completely keep the Ten Commandments. He gave us His perfect Law to show us His perfect standard. This gives us a lofty goal to shoot for, but even more it shows our need for a perfect and spotless Lamb! Jesus Christ was that perfect Lamb so that we might have grace and life! He paid the price for you and me. He loved us so much that He would sacrifice His own life so that we can be with Him! So please join me in looking at The Big Ten and how they apply to our lives today!
In the message "Answer The Bell", Minister Brian Hall looks at how we are called by God. This includes those saved and those that are lost. There is a lot of work to be done in the Kingdom of God. It is going take us answering the call that He has on our lives. In order to that, we must submit to Him totally. We take the focus off of us and put it on Him. Our training is studying God's Word, praying, caring for others. This life is like a heavyweight boxing match with it being the last round. In this fight with the enemy, we are going to get knocked down. The question is are we going to stay down? The answer should be NO! I'm getting back up and fighting for our Lord Jesus Christ! He has given us the tools and the training we need to be a champion in this fight. Are you going to use them? This is the last round and the final bell is about to ring. The enemy is coming at you with everything he has. The question is "Are You Going To Answer The Bell?".
In the message "Freely", Pastor Jerry looks at how God has given us things of Him freely and we are to share them with others. This world is dying and is need of a Savior. That is the only way the lost will be saved. God has put in us the power to go out and tell the world The Good News. That is salvation through Jesus Christ. We are not to be silent about this. That is exactly what the enemy wants. So, please join me in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others!
In the message "Facing My Fears:Say Not I Am A Child", Pastor Jerry looks at how we can let fear keep us from what God has for us in our walk with Him. Are we letting the enemy put thoughts of doubt in our minds that would cause us to not step out when God tells us too? Some of these doubts could be: you are too young to be used; you can't get beyond things in your past; you don't speak well enough; you don't have the education or training to do God's work. In God's eyes, none of these things matter. He has a plan for you and wants you to realize that He will take care of you no matter what. God's plan for your life is already laid out by Him. Now, will you let go of your fears and follow it?
In the message "Strange Seasons", Pastor Jerry looks at how we go through seasons in our spiritual walk with The Lord. We never know what season is next on the horizon. We really enjoy when the rain of The Holy Spirit comes down but not when it feels dried up. This is how we have Faith in Him. We are to be ready in season and out of season. God has a great plan for you. Your destiny may not be clear to you but it's clear to Him. Whatever season you are in God is good and God is still God. The season may seem strange to you but it isn't strange to Him. Have faith in God that He will take care of you and see you through!
In the message "Suicide Mission: A Call To Die To Self", Pastor Jerry looks at Matthew 16:24-25. In this passage of scripture Jesus is telling His disciples that in order to follow Him we must deny our self, take up our cross and follow Him. Denying ourselves goes against our most basic human nature. But we have been given a new nature, the nature of Jesus Christ. His nature is to sacrifice, to give, to humble Himself. We need to go ALL IN when following Him! When we put this into action, then God can move greatly through us. Lets give all of ourselves to Him and win this world for Jesus!

It all starts with our commitment to our Lord and Savior not just on Sunday mornings but at all times. This also entails listening to The Lord when He speaks and gives instructions. Are you telling the world about your faith in Jesus Christ when given the opportunity? Or is it staying inside being hidden? In the message "Your Confession of Faith", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians are to tell of the Good News of Jesus Christ and not keep it inside. What you are confessing about your faith, tells what you are willing to reveal to the world about it. If we are silent about our faith, it's likely we are ashamed of it or afraid of conflict. We are told clearly by The Word of God to confess our faith in Him. This world is going downhill very fast but that is even more of a reason to share with others. So, please join me in the confession of our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ so that others may come to know Him!
Last Friday the Supreme Court of the United States voted to redefine marriage. Since that ruling, there has been a tremendous heaviness over much of the church. No matter what is going on in this world, it doesn't change what Christ has called us to do. That is, to spread His Gospel to this lost world. In the message, "What's Next?", Pastor Jerry looks at how we can overcome this heaviness and what we, as Christians, are to do next in light of these recent events. Our prayer is that as you listen you will be encouraged to move closer to our Lord, not fear the state of the world, and be determined to get involved in what God is doing in the Earth!
"Revival of Love Part 2" is the last message in a series that looks at the true love of Jesus Christ. Today, it seems individually we have lost that love. We can have that love during Sunday morning while at church but can we have it the rest of the week? Ouch! I'm stepping on my own toes here folks. This should be the foundation of our relationship with Jesus Christ. To be the example of love that He wants us to be. Jesus loves us very much and does when we don't love Him back. Shouldn't we do the same with others? When we can get His Love to be the focus of our walk with Him, we will be able to impact this world greatly like He has planned. "A Revival of Love" is the first message in a two part series that will focus on the real meaning of the Love of God. It seems the church has lost that meaning. God loves us no matter what we have done but yet we have a hard time doing that to others. When Jesus died on the cross, He did for EVERYONE! And while he was on earth, Jesus went to those who needed His Love. We are to follow the example He set for us. To show love to others, as Christ did. If the church would ever get a hold of the true Love of God, we would see a revival like there has never been before. But it all starts with your heart. So, lets join together under the name of Jesus Christ and show this world His Love!
In the message "The Miracle of Unity", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as the body of Christ should be united instead of divided. In Acts 2:1-20, there were 120 Christians gathered together in one mind and one accord. This is the example that was set for us to follow. But somewhere along the line, we have let the enemy keep us divided. This is a very strong tactic he uses. But that wasn't the way God had it intended for us. We need to break down whatever walls/barriers that are keeping us apart as the body of Christ. Together under the banner of Jesus Christ, we can be the true believers that we were meant to be. It will allow us to do the greatest thing that we as Christians are to do, and that is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout this community and beyond. So, please join me in coming together as Christian brothers and sisters to win this world for Jesus Christ!
In the message "Simple Obedience", Pastor Jerry looks at how we as Christians have a hard time following the the simple commands that Jesus has told us to do. It could be stubbornness, rebelliousness, weakness in faith, insufficient Biblical training or that we feel what He has for us to do is too hard. None of these are good reasons to not follow God's commands or directions. These things will lead us to being disobedient and to Jesus that is an act of disloyalty. Instead we need to follow His direction and give Him all of our attention. Once we do that our lives are back on track for God and become the person He would have us to be!
In the message "The World Needs Mom", Pastor Jerry looks at how a mother's love perhaps more closely resembles God's love than any other form of love any of us have experienced in the natural. God loves us even when we don't love Him. The same can be said for a mother towards her children. A mother is constantly trying to do what's best for them and to steer them in the right direction. God does this also. With all of the bad things going on in this world, what we need is more Godly mothers. What we need is the love of God!
In the message "Blessed Is He Who Is Not Offended In Me", Pastor Jerry looks at the reasons why many are offended by God or mad at Him. This is true for Christians and also unbelievers. Whatever our circumstance, there isn't any reason to be mad at God. During our most difficult times, we should run towards Him and not away. Jesus loves you very much and wants to be there for you.
Have you ever had a broken heart or are you in a state of brokenness right now? There are many reasons for being broken. It could be loneliness, depression, hurt feelings or the sense you just don't belong. Those things are real and do happen to all of us at some point and time. The enemy wants to keep you there and keep you down. He knows just how to do it too. BUT you don't have to stay there. God loves you so much and wants to see you healed. His desire is that we be made whole through Him. All of the brokenness isn't ours to carry. We aren't capable of doing it but there is One that is. His name is Jesus Christ. He went to the cross for all of our sins and all of the burdens we try to carry. He will carry those burdens for us. We just need to totally release everything to Him. Once you do that, your heart will no longer broken!
In the message "The Iron Furnace", Pastor Jerry looks at how we sometimes find ourselves in a great trial (Iron Furnace) of our faith. God uses these great trials to help us mature in Him, to reveal Himself to us and to ultimately increase our trust in Him.These trials usually cause us to fear but we can overcome fear with our faith in Jesus Christ. If you are going through a trial right now, hold on! You will overcome!

In the message "Forevermore: The Claims of Jesus", Pastor Jerry looks at Revelation 1:18 where it says "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen (so-be-it). And I have the keys of Hades and of Death" (NKJV). This scripture not only speaks of His victory but of my potential victory! The claims of Jesus were proven in His resurrection. They are continually proven in His eternal priesthood, His eternal life! So, please join me in discussing these claims and how wonderful they are for you and me!
In the message "CHURCH: What's In It For Me?", Pastor Jerry looks at how being a part of the church is Biblical and an essential part of our Christian walk. We as Christians need the fellowship of like minded people so we can draw strength and encouragement from each other. The church is a place for Biblical learning and where we can find God's ministry that He has for us. The church isn't the building we meet in. It is the body of Christ that Christians make up. Each and everyone of us have a part in this body. The teaching you hear when we are together is indispensable. The accountability we offer to one another is essential. In the message "Oh How I Love Onions", Pastor Jerry discusses how we as Christians often fall back into some sort of bondage. It can be the things of this world. It can be legalism, addictions, complacency, or things of the past. Most would think that this bondage only applies to non-Christians but that's not the case. The good news is that we don't have to stay there though. We are called to be FREE! So, won't you please join us, for this message on how we can live in freedom. Our freedom was bought and paid for by The Blood of Jesus Christ! AMEN!
"The Deception of Religion and Self Righteousness" is the third message in the series "Deceptions In The Church". (John 8:31-48) In this message, Pastor Jerry looks at how religion and self righteousness is not the true way to serve God. Those who trust in religion, can't really walk by faith. Those who walk by faith, don't need to lean on religion. Our faith needs to be in Jesus Christ. Religion, is our attempt to reach God. That isn't enough. We must instead, accept God's attempt to reach us through His son, Jesus Christ.
"The Crossless Christian and The Uncommissioned Disciple" is the second message in the series "Deception In The Church". In this message, Pastor Jerry looks how we as Christians are to follow Christ. We are to deny ourselves and take up our cross. What does it mean to deny yourself? What does it mean to take up your cross? We'll look at each one of these and in today's church how they are forgotten. The end times are near and we as Christians are facing persecution. That's what it says in God's Word. But we don't have to fear! God said He would never leave us nor forsake us. We have to remember our goal is Jesus Christ because He is the best we will ever have!

In the message "Fasting, Daniel Prayed", Pastor Jerry looks at the story of Daniel in the book of Daniel 9:2-7. Here we see Daniel fasting and praying for a nation that had fallen away from God and into captivity. Daniel knew they had gone this way due to their own selfishness and unfaithfulness to God.This seems to be a mirror of what's happening today in our nation. We have went away from God and His principles we used to hold so dear to us. This includes the church. We have been taken into captivity by such things as false teachings, man-made traditions,compromise and so on. But we don't have to stay there. As Christians, we should try our best to keep God very close to us. Sometimes we let things come between us and God. It might be things of this world or it could be things God has done that we have elevated above Him. Whatever it is, those things we have put in high places need to be broken down. This allows to get back as close we can to our Lord and Savior. We should cling to Him! So, please join me in being a Stage Five Clinger to God!
In this second message in a two part series on Biblical Fasting, Pastor Jerry continues the discussion on fasting and what are the motives for it. Are we doing the fast merely for our own selfish reasons? Or is it to get closer to God and advance in our relationship with Him? When sacrificing things such as food, we are showing God how much He means to us and are looking to hear more clearly from Him. In fasting, we should consider our loss of passion for God in His church and mourn for it to be returned to each of us in the body of Christ. In the message "A Change of Clothes", Pastor Jerry discusses how we are supposed to get rid of things of the world in our lives and then put on the things of Christ. The time we live in is full of wickedness and evil. Sin is celebrated and Godliness is shunned. Yet, we do not have to be of this world and follow it's lead. To do this, we need to get rid of the old dirty rags we continue to wear. They are really starting to smell foul due to anger, un-forgiveness, prejudice and many other things. In the message "He Came Into His Own", Pastor Jerry discusses how the story of Jesus was a story of rejection. Have you ever seen anyone reject a gift? Someone says, "Lunch is my treat today". The response comes, "No, no, I appreciate it but I'll get my own". This is no big deal but when the gift is a Savior, things become serious quickly and so often is how people respond to Christ. He was rejected before His birth as there was no room at the inn. This continued throughout His life and even unto Calvary. The masses rejected Him and have continued even unto today. But we don't have to stay in the story of rejection. I urge you today to make room for Jesus and accept Him into every part of your life. Once you do, your life will be changed forever!
In the message "Redigging Wells", Pastor Jerry preaches about reclaiming our source of life in this life-stealing world.We should be reclaiming our future, holding onto wisdom, and being compassionate people. In the spirit realm, if our well is sealed or stolen, our access to the living water of Jesus Christ is hindered. But we can begin to reclaim that well by redigging. This can be done by following Jesus Christ and the instructions in His Word!
On one occasion when Jesus' disciples asked him a question He, in effect, told them the question that they had asked was the wrong one. Life often presents us with difficult questions. When this happens, answers can most always be found in the Word of God. Yet sometimes the questions we are asking are the wrong ones too. We are prone to earthly thinking which can lead to questions with only temporary significance. In this powerful message, you will be challenged to think eternally and to ask the right questions!

King Balak wanted Balaam to curse Israel but God wanted him to bless Israel. He was stubborn at first but ended up doing what God had instructed him to do and was extremely blessed. What God has blessed, no one can curse. But God doesn’t bless disobedience, idolatry, immorality, or any other works of the flesh… If you want ‘sustained blessing’, don’t be lead astray by the invitations of the world, to take part in their sin. There are proper boundaries that God has put in place to protect us and that we may experience His Abundant Blessings. Today, our society has diminished the importance of boundaries. "Undignified Worship" is the fourth sermon in a series of messages about our worship to God. Pastor Jerry discusses the story of David when he danced before The Lord in an undignified manner in 2 Samuel 6:12-22. He stripped himself of all his royal clothing except the linen ephod. This was showing all of the respect and honor he had for God. David's wife Michal confronted him about this and said that it disgusted and embarrassed her. David responded to his wife by saying that this was before The Lord. In fact ,he would be even more undignified as he worships than he was before yet remaining humble in his own eyes. David didn't care what others thought of him, even his own wife. He gave all of himself to God. We should do the same. When you give God everything in your worship, you will enter into His presence like you never have before!
"The Power of Worship" is the third sermon in a series of messages about our worship to God. Pastor Jerry discusses why there is power in true worship. The text is taken from Acts 16:25-26. This is the story of Paul and Silas when they were in jail. Their worship and praise had so much power that it shook the very foundation of the jail and loosened everyone's bands. This is an example of what true worship can bring. We can have that same power if we fully give of ourselves as Paul and Silas did. We will look at how we can be true worshipers of Jesus Christ. To fully understand what it means to have true worship, we must give all areas of our lives to God. Pastor Jerry has stated, "Worship is a private matter that overflows from the heart into the public arena. True worship isn't 'for' the public to behold, but isn't withheld either just because the public is watching. My worship is my expression of my adoration to my God. In the message "Christlike", Pastor Jerry discusses what it is to be truly like Christ. We have known for many years what it was to be 'Christ Like'. But that is changing. The world is mixed up and confused on what is to be like Christ. To see what He truly is like, we have to return to His Word. In The Bible we find many attributes we should have if we are Christ like. We will look at those attributes and the perfect example of being like Christ, Jesus Christ Himself!

In being different, our mind needs to be clear so we can hear from The Lord. It's the front lines in our spiritual warfare with the enemy. This is where the New Covenant in Christianity is different. It is the giving of transformational power that allows the believer to live holy, because God’s own Spirit has moved to the inside of us.Thus we are empowered!! In the message "Who Are You Really?", Pastor Jerry discusses the time in the Bible when Jacob wrestled with and angel of The Lord. Jacob had been known as a strong and mighty man. But there were some deceitful things in his life that no one but God knew about. He had tricked his father Isaac into thinking he was Esau and received a blessing that he didn't deserve. Jacob had been putting on a mask to try and fool people into thinking he was something that he really wasn't. Then he wrestled all night with angel of The Lord. Jacob's identity was changed, From then on, he was known as Israel. In the message we will see how the identity of Jacob was changed and how it relates to Christian's lives today.
In this message, Pastor Jerry talks about the life of the mother of Moses. Her name was Jochebed. She was born into slavery and that was all she knew. When Moses was born she defied the pharaoh and hid him away so he would not be killed. We see throughout this part of her life how she trusted God. By doing this, it allowed Moses to become one of the greatest men of God. Mothers today often feel under appreciated as do some fathers. Even though we may feel like this, we as parents are to instill Godly principles in our children's lives and give them to God to guide their steps. This is the greatest gift we could ever give to them.

Parents are to not just talk the talk but walk the walk. As parents we are to do as God instructed. We look at the house of Obededom in 2 Samuel 6 and how it was blessed by doing what God instructed as to the ark of the covenant. And also how Uzza was destroyed for not following God's instruction.

Directing them the narrow way that is to The Lord. As a parent, we are to be an example of our Lord Jesus Christ to our children in everything we say and do. “How Can There Be Peace?” In this sermon, Pastor Jerry asks this question drawing from a story in 2nd Kings Chapter 9, verses 14-24. The story is about Captain Jehu and King Joram. Joram was the reigning King of Israel, but God anointed one of the Captains of his army, Jehu, to take his place as king because of the wickedness of Joram and his family. Jehu rides into town in his chariot, and upon their meeting King Joram asks if Jehu has come in peace. “How can there be peace?” Jehu responds, your mother Jezebel has caused everyone to practice witchcraft and idolatry. How can we expect peace either, if our lives are filled with stubbornness and rebellion? God says these things are as the sin of witchcraft and idolatry. This message is challenging and provoking, but will help us rid our lives of satanic influences that rob us of peace. If you need more peace in your life, you need the hear this message.

Others have questioned the faith that was handed down to them. We have been admonished by the Word to earnestly contend for the faith. Will you hold tight to your faith in God in these last days and in these perilous times? Faith will end one day, but let us hold it tight to our faith until it becomes sight, and the evidence of 'unseen' things mentioned in Hebrews 11, is no longer unseen. What do kites and puppets have in common? That's right... Strings. We often want to live our lives with "no strings attached" because we want control of our own lives. Strings aren't always a bad thing though. Without strings a puppet lies uselessly on the stage floor. Without a string, a kite will not fly. It needs the lift of the wind to make it rise, but the tug of the string to keep it grounded. Similarly, we need God pulling the strings in our live!
The Prophet Elijah stood on Mt. Carmel, all day, waiting for the prophets of Baal as they prayed, danced, pleaded, climbed on the altar, and even cut themselves, but no answer came. They had a 'form' but they had no power. Then Elijah prayed, a short prayer, and fire fell consuming the offering, the altar, the water in the trench, the rocks, and even the dust. Too many modern Christians have a form of godliness, yet no fire. What about you? Do you have the form or the fire?
