The people of the city of Zhengzhou in Hanan province of China are picking up what’s left of their lives after record rainfall fell in the city for most of last week killing at least 51 persons with several persons still missing and causing an estimated 10 billion dollars worth of damage according to Chinese media.
The United Nations secretary-general, Antonio Gutteres has sent a condolence message to China over the loss of lives and property and President Xi Xinping described the flood as extremely severe and called on authorities at all levels to give top priority to ensuring people's safety and that of their property.
