Hey all! Steph and Becca here, ready to talk about life. We are big pursuers of living honestly, and we find strength in transparancy. Our aim with this podcast is to reflect the warmth of sitting down with an old friend and speaking openly about love, faith, hardships, and everything in between. These conversations will often be centered around Jesus, as we strive to grow in and pass on wisdom to our fellow sisters. We are messy everyday people talking about everyday topics, keeping it passionately casual, so if you too are everyday people, we'd love to have you aboard!
Welcome back! In this episode of Pruning Irises, we tackle our mutual histories of growing up as tomboys, eschewing all things feminine, and unpacking how that has affected us as women today. We devolve a bit at the end to talk about some surrounding topics, so buckle up for a bumpy ride :)

Hellooooo and welcome to our first episode of a year-long four episode series where we talk about seasonal living. Now, before you get your knickers in a knot and tell us that San Diego doesn't have seasons....we know. We are not claiming to know or experience the weather changes that the majority of the world experiences. But we do experience mood shifts that come with different seasons, and we do enjoy the passage of time and the seasonal markers that showcase that. So here we are, discussing our thoughts on summer. Let us know how you like this series, and if you have anything you love/celebrate about fall, because that episode is next :) email us as pruningirises@yahoo.com

Hey hi howdy and welcome to a heavy one. Today we delve into fearful thinking, and how that manifests in thinking about fertility. Steph and I definitely didn't delve into every facet of this conversation, but we did our best with where we were at at the time. This episode is a perfect example of the types of conversations we want to have more of with our friends: honest and imperfect, a snapshot of where our minds are on any given day. It might make for an awkward podcast, BUT WE ARE DOING IT, and hopefully it encourages you to lean into the imperfect conversations with those you trust.

Let's talk about homes, bay-beeee! A topic that is near and dear to our hearts, Steph and I jump into the topic of hosting, and what that looks like for a millennial, living and entertaining in small spaces in San Diego. We've grown in our thoughts and feelings about what is means to host, and what it can look like vs how we want it to look. Listen along, and as always, please send us any thoughts or questions at pruningirises@yahoo.com

Eyyyyyy welcome back for episode three of Pruning Irises! This episode is rich with back story and contemplation as we dig into our relationships with our own bodies: where we came from, the work we've done to get to today, and how we intend to converse wtih ourselves in the future. This topic is near and dear to our hearts, as we know how prolific it is in today's society to hate your body if it's not the standard set in front of us, and every one deal with that pressure in a different way. Listen along as we scrape the surface on some of these issues, and as always, please send any thoughts of questions our way to our email: pruningirises@yahoo.com
