Max Liben is the co-founder and CTO of H3X Technologies, a company building the lightest electric motors in the world for aviation and regional air mobility. Their motors will enable long range flights for electric aircraft that are currently not possible.
Aviation is the fastest growing sector of greenhouse gas emissions. Today, it represents 5-10% of total human climate impact, but is expected to grow to 25-50% by 2050. Current electric propulsion systems are too heavy for long flights to be feasible. H3X is trying to change this. Their goal is to become the world’s leading supplier of aviation grade electric propulsion systems to enable a large-scale revolution in aircraft electrification and regional air mobility. The team has received over $6 million in funding, and $300 million in LOI's.
