In this week's show we're settling ourselves down with some overtures with Tchaikovsky, Mozart and and Wagner, and then we're heading off to the sun - Spain to be precise - with Tarrega, Gottschalk ad Rodrigo. We're also celebrating the birthdays of Bliss and Bantock. My Classical Chorus is Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine, and Rachmaninov is the focus of the longer piece of the show - the third movement of his Symphony No 2 in E minor. We also have pieces by Strauss, Bizet, Elgar, Vivaldi, Handel, Stravinsky, Beethoven, Brahms and Vaughan Williams. I hope you enjoy the show!
