I've found that many people don't really know the ins and outs of networking. They think handing out business cards or blindly emailing is how you do it. I have a few tips:

1. Respect their position.
2. Face, Voice, Text.
3. Remember birthdays!
4. WORK on you relationships.
5. Penetrate the circle.
6. EXCHANGE.
