Dec 2017 - Present • Lead the UNC System's military and veterans’ affairs strategic initiatives.

  • Provide staff support to the UNC Board of Governors' Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs.
  • Develop and manage relationships between the 17-institution University of North Carolina System and the defense community, including the U.S. Department of Defense and defense industry partners.
  • Facilitate and implement a variety of research and education collaborations for mutual benefit to the University and its partners.
  • Work with all levels of University administrators, faculty, and staff to bring relevant expertise and resources to address challenges with national security implications.
  • Foster close and productive relationships with the military- and veteran-focused organizations across North Carolina's public and private sectors.
  • Collaborate extensively with leaders, technologists, and innovators across North Carolina to support economic development, community impact, and growth of NC's defense sector.
