I wanted to share with you some of the Kickstarter projects I’m keeping an eye on. A few of these are running out soon so if they interest you, take a look fast!
Maria Call is a fun musician I first experienced at Dragon*Con some time back. She has a lot of fun exciting music and now she wants to share it with the world. She’s past her goal but some of her stretch goals are down right amusing such as singing Tom Lehrer’s Elements song and the Reading Rainbow Theme Song (already funded!). A mere $5 nets you the live album she’ll be recording and will inch her ever closer to those stretch goals.
With the success of Shadowrun Returns at the start of this week, it’s little wonder their sister MMO project has jumped into Kickstarter gear. The MMO looks promising and as a long time Shadowrun Fan, expect to see me chip another 3 figures into this project.
From the folks who brought you Super Mario Crossover, comes a game almost exactly like but free of Intellectual Property restrictions! Super Retro Squad is basically a platformer adventure game bringing some old school game favorites into a larger complex video game world. It’s like if someone remade Captain N without all the names changes and different outfits.
If the name alone doesn’t draw you in, I don’t know what else I can say… Okay, I’ll try. Project Ninja Panda Taco (such a fun name to write), is a table top RPG designed to be fast, fun and awesome. It’s designed for quick play and is approachable by seasoned and new gamers.
Okay, so they’re mostly all games! Look, Moon intern is my style of classic game meets modern game theory. Taking the role of an intern doing the worst jobs on the colony, you can experience the game in a way that echos your play style. It reacts, adapts, and evolves based on how you play. Want to kick butt? The game will let you. Want to out think and solve puzzles? You can do that too. This game provides and it’s not an experience donation to get a full copy of the completed game.
