Scripture: 1 Peter 4:7-11 & 5:1-5, 1 Corinthians 9:24-26

Discussion Questions:

Q: Why do you think God wants you to live with a healthy perspective of our own frailty & mortality? (not living in fear, but rather with urgency & intentionality)

Q: 1 Peter 4:7 says to be “clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.” With is it so important to constantly talk with God in uncertain times? How much do you do this & how can you grow in this?

Q: The Greek word in 1 Peter 4:10 for the “gifts” that God gives us is the same as “grace.” How significant do you think that is? If we’re not using those “gifts,” what does that say about how we view His grace?

Q: How can you view your home as a gift to be opened rather than a castle to be protected? How can you tangibly & joyfully practice hospitality?

Q: What types of gifts has God entrusted you with and how are you using those?

Q: Why do we need “shepherds” (leaders)? What types of leaders do you typically find yourselves following? Where are they leading you to?

Q: Who is someone that could mentor & disciple you, OR who is someone you could mentor & disciple?

Q: In what ways do you see the world around you in desperate need of loving hospitality, pure motives, and Godly leadership? How can you engage those areas?
