Some might wonder why do a sermon series on Lamentations when we seem to be sitting in so much anger and sadness. Wouldn't it be better to focus on the positive? While we are called to be sorrowful and yet always rejoicing, By contrast, Lamentations teaches us we have lost the language of lament. And so, we get stuck in our sadness and anger. Today, we start a 6 week series to begin to open God's gift of lament.
