In-Depth News Analysis: According to OECD on Monday, the average inflation rate among the 38 member states hit a 31 year high in January. South Korea’s inflation rate was only 29th out of the 38 nations, but the bite is still being felt in people’s wallets, and the inflationary pressure is expected to increase further due to external uncertainties like Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In response, Seoul has decided to extend fuel tax cuts until the end of July.
