We conclude our FaceTime series with a look at how God created us for relationship. The first thing we see in the Bible that God calls "not good" is the reality that Adam was alone, but God's solution for this problem was to create a "suitable helper" for Adam. The word "suitable" literally means "one who faces you," so not just an assistant to help, but someone with whom to share life. Bottom line: we need each other, and not just because of the importance of human relationships, but because the Body of Christ is the primary place where God has chosen to manifest His presence and power. What this means is that the acceptance, encouragement, healing and joy we receive from one another, we're really receiving from Jesus. The opposite though is also true - when we're isolated from the Body, we won't experience acceptance, encouragement, healing and joy in the way God intended.
