SAG/AFTRA member Robert X. Golphin garnered a Best Actor win and nomination at the Screen Power Film Festival and Top Indie Film Awards respectively, for his role in the multi award-winning 2020 film Essential, a short drama which he also wrote and directed.

Robert's feature film and television credits include the role of Dunbar Reed opposite Denzel Washington in The Great Debaters, the HBO drama The Wire, the HBO miniseries John Adams, The Underground Kings, Rounding First, Remember The Daze, #ThatMoment and The Counterparts. He has also starred in numerous short films and commercials.
