Six months following Gabriel’s announcement that Elizabeth would conceive a son, he appears to Mary, living in Nazareth of Galilee. He tells her that, though she is a virgin, she will also conceive a son, who would be Son of the Most High. Mary acknowledges this revelation by referring to herself as a “servant of the Lord.”
