The idea for this track was inspired by a melody by Gia Kancheli from the film Kin-dza-dza!, directed by Georgiy Daneliya in 1986. This film is truly timeless and is full of iconic lines, including: “When society has no color differentiation of trousers, there is no goal! And when there is no goal…”, “The government lives on another planet, my friend,” and the universal word “Ku!”, which replaces almost every other part of speech.In short, I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t seen it yet!The instrumental part was recorded with guitar by Alexey Ronov. Van and I also added choir, strings, and brass instruments: cello, around five violins, and a tuba.The creative process came effortlessly, accompanied by a pot of rare, collectible tea.Enjoy the listening!

About the EP-* In ancient Indian Texts, the Brahmastra (Sanskrit: ब्रह्मास्त्र, IAST: Brahmāstra) and its variants, the Higher brahmastra , and Brahmashirsha astra, are supernatural weapons collectively called Brahma weapons. The Brahmashirsha astra is a weapon that is said to be able to destroy the universe, capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. They are the most destructive, powerful, and irresistible weapons mentioned in Hinduism. These weapons are all created by Lord Brahma. It is termed as a fiery weapon that creates a fierce fireball, blazing up with terrible flames and countless horrendous thunder flashes. When discharged, all nature including trees, oceans, and animals tremble, and the sky surrounds with flame, glaciers melt and mountains shatter with copious noise all around. When used, the Brahmastra which is person-centric can destroy a powerful enemy if he doesn't possess an alternate counter weapon. If it is Bhrmashirsha Astra it makes collateral damage and every useful resource in a given area and prevents even a single blade of grass from ever growing in that area again. It is mentioned in Epic that there will be no rainfall for 12 Brahma years (1 Brahma year = 3.11 Trillion Human years; 12 Brahma years = 37.32 Trillion Human years) and climate conditions will worsen. The strike of the Brahmastra will eventually destroy everything. Arjuna and Ashwatthama almost used the Brahmashira astra against each other near the end of the Kurukshetra War, however both were stopped by Narada, Krishna and Vyasa to prevent the destruction of the world.

Cetin Sahin was born in Dersim and as a child moved to Istanbul with his family looking for a brighter future. He studied German language and literature in Istanbul and after his studies he moved to Berlin for an even brighter future. Cetin discovered happiness in electronic music. With his driving energy and dreamy nature, he takes everyone on a musical journey. With two buddies Cetin organized the legendary "Technotürken Parties" all over Europe for many years and later founded the label "Ashram Records" in Berlin. He was born in 1987. In 2007 he went to Sofia to study. Until 2011, the lessons he listened to during the day were entering in one ear and coming out of the other, but at night when listening to the leading names of electronic music, music did not come in from one ear and exit from the other. Although he had no training in music, he discovered that he did not hear music the way everyone hears it and did not see it the way everyone saw it. He believed that putting pieces together was a good listener and proved that it was more than just believing. Welcome Mixtape #166 by Gimérique
After getting to know each other on SoundCloud in 2013, Florian and Benoit today work in tandem to bring dreamy electronic music into the air with a narrative mix of both, deep and thriving elements. Under his Bigasti alias, Benoit released on imprints such as Steyoyoke, Lost Diaries or Einmusik and quickly got recognition in the scene thanks to his unique melancholic approach in electronic music. Floloco, Florian's DJ project, sticks less strict to only one electronic music genre. The theme that unites his sets or mixes, is that particular "Floloco" groove. After years of experience in electronic music as individual artists, Gimérique unites the signature sound of the two electronic music enthusiasts to a new chapter on their promising path in the electronic music scene.
It all started with a joint DJ set released on the globally respected Schirmchendrink mix show, which the two founded together in 2015. After several joint DJ sessions they felt it was about time to take the project to the next level: et voilà, Gimérique was born!
With their first collaborative production in 2020, Gimérique took Lerr's 'Hummingbird' into deep and dreamy territory. Groovy and emotive in equal measure it made an auspicious production debut for Gimerique on Sound Avenue's first edition of their 'Re:Imagined' remix series.
Gimérique's first original production, 'Calm at Heart', was released in Spring 2020 on Harabe Recordings and explores a more ambient landscape of their sound. 'Calm at Heart" entered the Beatport 'Organic House' Top 100 charts only one day after its release.
Full of ideas and inspiration, the diligent two holed themselves in the studio during the pandemic to start working on various ideas that have been brewing over the last years. It will be with sheer excitement that the two will finally be able to announce their upcoming projects, and it will be soon.

KOLOMIN is a project of two brothers Denis & Dmitry We mix and create kind of world EDM, "slow deep house" or "chillrave" music. We guess, that this style of music is really deep and it inclines to consciousness, causes the feeling of love to people and to the world, unites cultures, reminds us, that we are all parts of a greater whole. Dmitry: «Music has always played a big role in our life, we were trying to create music using all the possible ways and instruments» Denis: «We don’t think out the music, we are just trying to materialize at least a part of tune playing in a head some moments. El Extravagante Live Act for Baikal Nomads
@ElExtravagante is a nomad from Chile, the last country to the South of planet Earth actually based in Montréal/Canada, ¨the other side of the world¨. His music is a mix of tropical grooves and electronic folklore with sometimes a spicy touch of Psychedelia.
Due the lack of opportunities as a South American immigrant with an electronic music project outside the norm of the Canadian scene, mostly into House/Techno, he decided to create an alternative and with @Don-Mescal (another immigrant, from France) in 2018 they created @CosmovisionRecords & Collective, opening a whole new platform that gave visibility and a voice to many local and international artists, from Montréal to the world.
In this Live Act you can enjoy many of ¨El Extravagante¨ original songs plus a few remixes and one or two unreleased tracks as well, going between electronic folklore/cumbia and downtempo, done with Ableton, a few synths and acoustic instruments recorded live, enjoy!

Mixtape #148 by The Doubljuh
At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.

With his musical selection, he has traveled several thousand kilometers and performed over a few hundred gigs in various parts of Poland. With his sets he most often appears in the best underground Polish clubs including Smolna (Warsaw), Rura (Czestochowa), Schron (Poznan) but also at many Polish summer music festivals (Audioriver, Wisloujscie, Fest Festival, Agregatik, Fort Fest, Kaskada, Fort Open Air). He has already recorded podcast for international labels like Pachamama (UK) or Garasadah Records (Nepal). Finalist of the Polish edition of the Burn Residency competition in 2017. Growing up in an isolated Jesuit forest school, he developed a close connection to nature, expressed in an optimistic, kind-hearted and reflective temper. That's also the reason why he installed thds' recording studio at the edge of a forest, while commuting to Brussels to work part-time in contemporary dance and pay the rent.
After exploring various genres and instruments for years, thds finally started in spring 2017 with the help from his best friend, contributing with vocals and percussions during the performances. The project progressively gained international interest with releases tinged with his bittersweet vocal harmonies, warm melodies and eclectic grooves. Being influenced by his own cultural roots and interest in humanities, thds blends ethnic instruments and acoustic elements in a chill, organic and introspective electronic music.

Existing between the worlds first known continents Menachem's ancestors been to Western Europe to Northen Africa & Middle East. In 1926, Menachem came to this life with all this inheritance and created a family in the middle of his ancient geography.
When Menachem died, he briefly manageed to see his grandson. And of course the grandson has no recollection of his grandfather. When the grandson "Menachem" learns the meaning of his name he decides to seek for his grandfather's legacy. After all this search he found the legacy within the riffs of the strings, within the touches to percussions. He then added modern riffs in order to create a bridge to his contemporary taste.
And this is what Menachem 26 sharing: "A legacy from a grandfather to a grandson"

These last few years has chosen to live in Heraklion on the island of Crete, that is a place that has given birth to philosophy, culture and tradition. Nowadays even more mature in sounds, Harri is one of the pioneers in his country and presented via his tracks a reborn kind of music, a kind of Ethnic world that is based on electronica music infused with natural traditional instruments from places all over the globe. Since April 2017 has also created his own label Hotworx Recordings based in Heraklion where most of his work and other noticeable artists work is released. He loves experimenting on his live (DJ) sets charging the atmosphere with pictures and feelings but when the tempo has to go up he also knows how to do it really well. According to Beatport the biggest digital music platform in the world Harri Agnel is one of the TOP100 most commercial artists globally on his genre of music while his tracks when released climb the world TOP10 reaching sometimes even Number 1.

https://soundcloud.com/sparrowandbarbossa is a dj and producer duo formed by the Swiss Bryan Coletta and the Uruguayan Emiliano Haberli.
Bryan is a pianist and comes from a musical family, his father is the legendary guitarist Francis Coletta who worked with artists like Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones or Frank Sinatra among others. Since very young he’s been influenced by soul, jazz and funk until he took it to the plates with remixes like Fictionalise from Cubicolor with his strong capacity of improvisation and versatility.
Emiliano was born and raised in a region of Uruguay dominated by African colonials and got widely influenced by what’s called “The Culture Of Candombe”, pure african tribal rhythm coming from the colonialism. Very young he moved to Europe where he connected with the music there, starting to give a form to his style in the electronic music world with Chus & Ceballos and Joesky (USA).
Together they form Sparrow & Barbossa, producing a fusion between organic and more electronic progressive sounds. The age difference between the two make they’re sets and productions sound unique. While Bryan brings the freshness of modern sounds and melodies, Emiliano fine tunes the rhythmic part. Globe-trotters, they’re true lovers of ethnies and lost cultures, devoted to transmit this legacy through electronic music.

Baikal Nomads Mixtape #69 by Hekske
In the year 1542, the Spanish conquistador and explorer Francisco de Orellana, accompanied by some 50 men, set off on an exploration mission in present-day Ecuador, in search of the ‘Land Of Cinnamon’ which was believed to be located somewhere east of the Andean mountains. His team first built a brigantine boat and then went on a mission to explore the uncharted coca river downstream. After arriving there, and after facing a mutiny and strong currents, the party decided to continue downstream, following the Napo River until it joined the Rio Negro (which was named by de Orellana) and finally the Amazon River itself. At one point the river became so wide that the Spaniards already thought they had reached the Open Sea, yet at that point they still needed to complete a couple of thousand kilometers before they would finally reach the Atlantic Ocean, becoming the first people to navigate the Amazon river after an epic and perilous journey which took over half a year. This way, de Orellana and his men were the very first Europeans to see and describe the Amazon river and surrounding forests in its pure, unspoiled state. Given the fact that they were largely outnumbered by the local population, the Spanish did their best to avoid trouble. Yet, they got involved in quite a few skirmishes, the most famous with a tribe of Tapuyas, where the Spanish were surprised to see women fight bravely alongside the men, which was something they had never seen or heard of before. It even made them think they had found the mythical Amazon tribe, which was described by Herodotus and Diodorus in ancient Greek legends. And that’s how the Amazon River eventually got its name…

As soon as the two guys, both from Zurich met they were a perfect team. And because we all know things are more fun when done together, they combined their talents to become a DJ Duo. What binds them together is their strong love of good music. As simple as it may sound, it's true. Good music that doesn't know genres or labels, but has this craving for more. Music that gives you Goosebumps. That feeling that a track should never come to an end.
As a joined force, their music is best described as a soundtrack to an endless road trip, in a red convertible, down HWY 1: dry bass lines, epic synths and driving drums. Without hesitation, they grab whatever inspiration they can get from all the genres around. Building their tracks the way they want them to be, instead of trying to reproduce whatever is in at the moment. Music made for the main-time is the credo. Always looking for that perfect feeling, those Goosebumps, the wish for no ending. This message is underlined by their Dj sets where they take the crowd onto a journey through the main-time but never to the mainstream.
With releases on Burlesque Musique, Stranjjur, Light my Fire and Erase Records, Kyrill & Redford are destined for big things and have laid down the first stepping-stones on their way to a blooming career. Their remix of the Jefferson Airplane classic "Somebody to love" was loved in the local scene and became a proper hit. They released the track with Burlesque Musique and thanks to their success, their name is now known across the country/world.
Álvaro Suárez (@alvarosuarezmusic) is a Dj and producer currently living in Copenhagen (Denmark).
At 5 years old he started to study violin and from then on his interest on music increased day by day, open his mind for another styles out of classical music but without leaving the violin aside. His interest in electronic music comes later, when in 2006 he bought his first mixer and decks. Influence of his classical studies in Alvaro’s music is huge, giving big importance to melodic lines on his tracks and Dj sets. The idea to make a link between classical and electronic music has been always on his mind, so he supports his house sets playing violin on live.

Since 2001 he lives in Italy His sound research led him to combine electronic experimentation with classical structures.After the albums ‘El viaje’ and ‘Mohs’ (edited by Fábrica), his turning point arrived with ‘IWA’, a record produced by italian label White Forest Records. That new music path reflects the soul of this artist, who’s able to bring the essence of the mountains of the Andes to Europe and at the same time, to reunite the popular and tribal tradition, mixing carefully his culture with the european tradition. His music is a fusion of contrasts and refined new combinations, full of wet colors derived from the Latin American culture and mingle with Western rationalism. The short-circuit becomes more evident by the careful selection of electronic sounds and melodies in a constant clash of rhythms and traditions. The particular texture that gives the violin adds to a rich soundscape tribal chants that come from the heart of the jungle.

San Ignacio (@sleepingnacho) is an argentinean musician, producer and DJ.
During 2012 he released a compilation of travel recordings entitled Nadie pierde con paciencia and in 2015, after joining the Fertil Discos collective, an EP, Costa. His third release, Lo único que hay es el Amor, was published by Subklub Records, and last august Fertil Discos and Casa Caos (BR) co-produced Casiotone Rosa, a series of songs and collaborations based on Guimaraes Rosa's poetry, translated into deep cumbia and reggaeton sounds.
This year he's published his latest album, Lugares Para Nadar (Fertil Discos, AR), and will be touring across Europe during the summer. He's collaborated and published tracks in several international compilations, including the ones of Frente Bolivarista (BR), Drossel (DE), Cassette Blog (MX) among others, and played in the most representative events of the new latin american electronic music scene (Sonido Tropico, Gruta, Fertilindo)

Thomas was caught by the enchantment of music since the very beginning. Working as a graphic designer for 16 years, it felt natural to step into the world of sound design. Having a big affinity with tribal music, he combines organic sounds and rhythms to his productions, carrying the listener to places beyond their audio system. His sets start out nice and slow, and rise to intense levels, capturing the audience on a trip through carefully selected sounds and productions.
Although not stuck to a specific genre, his style touches elements of deep, melodic, slow house and tribal. He produces different sounds for different occasions, mostly by himself, sometimes joining forces with other musicians.
And with success: his first solo EP, titled Athinouk, is released on Tropical Twista Records in May 2016. More releases followed on Amsterdam based Phat Elephant Recordings and brand new label Whirling Wolf.
His music is played by a number of DJ's, such as Mira, Oceanvs Orientalis, the notorious Voodoohop collective from Brazil, Urban Cosmonaut Radio collective and more.

Born into a family of engineers, and musicians, Hector Fierro, always had a keen passion for, music, and machines. His affinity with music led to him learning to play the trumpet, and drums at a young age, which quickly developed into an ardent interest for electronic music.
At 18, after traveling extensively around, Asia, Europe and America. He established his promotion company called, Aphfunk. Which was responsible for numerous parties in the city of El Paso, Texas, and its border city, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. In 2014 he moved to Los Angeles and started making his rounds at different clubs and bars such as Couture, where he played multiple times for the well known night on Hollywood, Clinic Wednesdays.

Segg was born in Paris, but his first vibes were actually brought to life as a result of the years he spent in Switzerland during his youth.
Whether playing the piano, the guitar or the drums, his first influences were folk melodies.
The musician then discovered electro music in Lausanne and Berlin.
Nostalgic harmonies rooted in the dynamic rhythms that transport crowds all around, from the mountains of Switzerland to the blocks of concrete of the German clubs…
Just like a photographer, Segg seamlessly blends these two extremes with his unique emotional touch.
In New York, he composed his first tracks.
Organic textures borrowed from nature, like whispers eavesdropped at the edge of a forest, lift up the pace and the beats influenced by 1990’s house music that use to rock Brooklyn’s rooftops.

Today's issue is devoted to the Colombian musical style - Cumbia.
The name is derived from cumbé - translation from one of the African languages the word "dance"
Cumbia - pure style of folk music from the Colombian Atlantic coast. The dance and the melody first appeared in Colombia and Panama. Initially, the cumbia was fun of poor people, but in the 1960s - there was a massive dance craze according 1970s. Later dance form of this style, with a slow rhythm spread throughout Latin America.
Dancing the cumbia to the accompaniment of flutes (gaita), maracas and tambourines, and later began to be used accordions, guitars and various other kinds of drums, in recent times - trumpet, saxophone, double bass and electric musical instruments.

Полгода назад, блуждая в сети в поисках новой музыки я был очарован звуками и ритмами которые вводят в легкий транс, и отправляют в путешествие по разным культурам и традициям. Я познакомился со свежим направлением в электронной танцевальной музыке. В отличии от привычного дип-хауса и техно у этой музыки немного замедленный темп, а органические звуки и традиционные инструменты стали преобладать над синтетическими. Сами авторы называют это направление "slowdeep" и "ethnotechno". Эта музыка сейчас играет на известных танцполах и фестивалях Европы и Американских континентов, а теперь я хочу познакомить с ней вас. Возможно, в будущем у нас будет отдельный подкаст для этого направления, а пока наслаждайтесь моим первым экспериментом на эту тему.
