Decreasing funding of the art is a bad sign for the success of future generations. Nationwide access to art education has decreased significantly over the last 40 years and BIPOC are especially impacted by these cuts. Art education can work to combat societal issues like the "school-to-prison pipeline". Advocating for art funding is important and necessary.
