Meet Zac Stern, a young visionary with a keen mind in business and love. Earning a coveted spot at the NYU Stern School of Business was just the beginning of Zac's early success, as he went on to be elected class president for three out of four years. Not one to lag, Zac was an intern his sophomore and junior years with a well-known VC and was promoted to associate upon graduation in 2020 when he joined the team full-time. His work ethic didn’t keep him from falling in love. With a long-distance relationship spanning half the globe, he’d jot down important anniversaries, birthdays, and meaningful information about his significant other. Always spot on with the love stuff, friends noticed his relationship was flourishing and wanted to know his secret. With an ear toward opportunity and a desire to fill an unmet need, Zac went right to work building an app so friends could

share the same relational success. Official was born, a next- generation social media app, built to help couples have

healthier and happier relationships. After being honest with his employer about moonlighting with his own project, Zac was congratulated by being flat-out fired. This proved to be a gift, as Official became his sole focus as of October 2020. After being interviewed by the Mayor of Miami and going viral on TikTok, the fledgling Official app crashed because too many people mobbed the platform all at once. That transformed into great user feedback and an entire rebuild of the Official platform relaunching with a successful first financing round of nearly $500k by sophisticated investors recognizing the potential of Official and its forward-thinking, altruistic relationship model.
