Without Christ, none of us could light the lamp of our own salvation. The delight we have in our salvation is that now we are no longer ignorant about God and that we no longer walk in the futility of our minds, but rather we can put on Christ and delight in holiness. Our inheritance is a new life, a holiness we can delight in, and an increasing knowledge of God.
