Apparently, many people do not understand the mission of the church. The Church doesn’t exist for you. You are the church. You have an assignment.

Some might come to church when convenient enjoy everything provided for them. They’re involved to the degree that it meets particular needs in their lives.

Today I want to speak to you about the church’s assignment. I want to speak to you about our marching orders, about our divine assignment, as a church.

The church’s assignment is clearly laid out for us in Matthew 28:19-20, in a passage that is commonly called the Great commission.
