This week's episode was inspired by The Great Hack, which is a documentary on Netflix surrounding the Cambridge Analytical scandal, data protection & data privacy.
At the beginning of the episode I pose a couple of questions, note down your responses and see if they change after listening to the full episode.
I discuss a couple of things surrounding the Cambridge Analytical scandal, how CA got the data in the first place (Is the "Did you read the T&Cs?" argument fair considering how convoluted those documents are?), how the data was then utilised to create a model that knew you to the level of knowing your triggers etc.
I go into the worth of your data, how our data can be utilised for our benefits and how it can also be used against us in the wrong hands. Also, why you should care about data protection and privacy.
