Presenting Oz 9, a sci-fi comedy podcast. Recently, Oblivity enjoyed a cameo in Oz 9 in the form of Officer Lowell. Listen to the episode here!
If you're not listening to Oz 9, you're missing out on a wild and very unsafe ride. It's stuffed full of brilliant writing, excellent characters and more jokes and ideas than is quite frankly fair.
About Oz 9
'On a random Tuesday in 2142, 400 Oz ships, each carrying a cargo of 50,000 sleeping rich people, were launched from Earth by a corporation called Gated Galaxies. On a mission to seek out, terraform, and probably rudely exploit any planet they stumble upon, the Oz ships were a great way to get rid of not only some very rich idiots, but also their crews of petty thieves and thugs. This is the story of one such ship, the Oz 9, where the pods have already started going dark.'
The featured episode is 82: Keep your knickers out of the biscuit tin,

A bonus episode before Season Two lands on Wednesday 16 November!
When we last left aviatrix Amelia Bell (Justine Malone) in season one’s Revolutions in the Air, she was about to embark on a solo space flight, circumnavigating the ‘Sys. (That’s ‘solar system, for the uninitiated.)
Christy had decided not to join her after all - but did give her the psychomimicellum plant to which she is psychically linked.
In Amelia Bell’s Last Hurrah, we follow the plucky pilot on her long, lonely journey. Just a little time in the stasis chamber won’t do any harm… Will it?
A bonus episode, to whet appetites before Season Two lands on Wednesday 16 November!
This episode sees the return of bickering interrogators Reginald (Alistair Nunn) and Horace (Ralph Watson).
In Perfect Partners, the couple try to work out their differences in relationship counselling, facilitated by the unflappable Poppy (special guest Jen Sugden, co-creator of the Victoriocity podcast.)
Poppy tries to get the pair to open up, but could it be that she’s not asking the right questions?
A very quick announcement that Season Two is incoming on Wednesday 16 November 2022!
Return to Research Base Persephone on Pluto, and step into quantum chasms, photonic fuelling stations, abandoned shuttles, forgotten memories and luxury health spas.
As well as catching up with the crew, you’ll meet familiar adversaries – and a few new ones too.
Season Two has been along time coming – but we’re really proud of the result. There are seven full episodes, and a couple of surprises too!
Thanks to everyone who supported us to make this brand new season, and thanks to all of you for listening. And let us know if you enjoy it – it really does make our day when people do that!
So that’s Season Two; Wednesday 16 November; on Pluto! See you there!

This is a quick update to let you know that after an unplanned hiatus, Season Two of Oblivity is now in production!
It's still not feasible to get our cast and crew together in a studio - and probably won't be for a while. SO we've invested in a bit of fancy kit, and we're exploring the brave new world of home recording!
(OK, it's not THAT new. Loads of shows do it. But it's new to us. )
We want to make sure Season Two is as good as it can be in every way. We’ve researched the tech, the software, and worked with actors to get everyone comfortable with the process. Spare rooms and sheds have become curtain-draped, mattress-stacked, cat-free recording spaces. We're asking aeroplanes, rain showers and pigeons to shush please.
We're about half way through our recording schedule - and so far it's going really well!
That said, we’ve a long way to go:
Complex logistical operations shuttling microphones to more than 20 actors!
Recording approx. 100 scenes where we can around people’s actual day jobs and far more important family commitments!
And then the Herculean task of mixing and production - including building soundscapes, creating original music, and sourcing and in many cases actually creating around a couple of hundred sound effects!
Why are we putting ourselves through this?
Because somewhere among the headaches, we’re having fun, and we can’t wait to share the continuing Oblivity story with you, our brilliant listeners!
In the meantime, don’t forget you can sign up to our newsletter – Despatches from the Sys – and you’ll find a link on our website www.oblivitypodcast.com.
You’ll also find a link there to our five star rated online escape game – The Profoctor Predicament! This is an interactive story where you’re the protagonist. Solve the puzzles either on your own or with a team, and help save the Oblivity crew from a cyber-toothed, sabre-toothed tiger!
Finally, you can follow us on Twitter at @oblivitypodcast
That’s all for now. We’ll post another update when we have more to share.
Byeeee!
Please enjoy the Oblivity festive episode. We released it for our Season Two backers last year, and as we've had to put production on pause in 2020, we thought it'd be nice to share the episode with everyone!
Also - check out our online escape game 'The Profoctor Predicament' at www.oblivitypodcast.com. It's had five star reviews, and would make an ace Llama Day gift!
Whatever you're up to this December, take care, and we'll see you again soon.

Content warning: Contains discussion of warfare/violence
The Profoctor Predicament is a brand new immersive online Escape Game and interactive story, set in the world of Oblivity!

Featuring original material, videos, audio, music and artwork, this online escape game and story can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home!
It's just £5 (about $6.50), and offers 1-2 hours of fun. We recommend teams of up to four people.
Play the game at www.oblivitypodcast.com!
We hope you get the ending you deserve...
Oblivity will return for a second season in 2020, thanks to all our incredible backers!
We also reached our stretch target, which means that there will be a backers-only festive episode this year. As of the release of this message, there’s still just over 24 hours to get involved and make sure you get that festive episode too, by finding Oblivity on Kickstarter, and pledging any amount – but be sure to do before the end of Thursday 17 October, that’s midnight, British Summer Time.
For now, once again, a huge thanks to everyone who’s helped make a second season possible. We’re incredibly excited to get started on the rewards for our backers as soon as we can, and for everyone else, please do stay subscribed for when Oblivity returns in 2020.
You can also keep in touch with us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and tumblr, or sign up to our newsletter at oblivitypodcast.com
